I'm curious, how did your braids affect your hair when you removed them? I want to get box braids as a protective style for the winter but several people said it took their hair out or made them shed. My texture is a 4a/b and I already deal with moisture issues so I don't want to make it worse.

@BeautifullyNapptural yeah i love braids, but now im trying to be more gentle with my hair so i think i may stay away from braids for a while. Doing them too often made my edges thin out, so i wudnt reccomend it.....but theyre so cute, so its hard lol

@BeautifullyNapptural just don't make them too small. It's not good to braid your hair back to back to back. Change up doing wigs, weaves, ponytails or whatever. Make sure you give your hair a two week break in between styles. DO NOT FORGET TO DEEP CONDITION AFTER EACH STYLE (mandatory)

@TheSassychick20 LOL no all the pieces were even....and i secure the ends by stretching the loose hair before i add it to my hair by pulling on both ends of the extention and making the ends unveven...if the ends arent blunt they wont unravel and then dip them in boiling water when ur finished. @latrice124 no, not at all. i think jus leaving it alone, and not putting any chemicals to damage it make the difference. i didnt comb it while it was dry and i detangled in the shower to lessen breakage, and i deep conditioned alot. but i dont think one product made much of a difference... jus caring for my hair overall.

@dyneece it took me about 7 hrs to do... sythetic hair is different from kanekalon because u cant use heat on it at all, with 100% kanekelon u can dip the ends in boiling water so it comes out very straight and smooth... sythietic wud jus burn or not turn straight and frizz in hot awater..
