    i just turned 18 n am using some protein powder... was thinking of getting some creatine 2 coz ive been told creatine n protein aint bad... though i dunno about age

  • your 18 its doable not needed but do able like tims is just 2 young with 15 years there is no use I started myself using protein and creatine at 18 to I noticed a real good difrence in progress cause your muscle heals faster and combined with your anabolic state of that age and some good discipline training wil make you grow like crazy :)

  • @ToonSquadx if you take it properly (5g per day) then it will do no harm. if you do something stupid like 30g per day, then it will do harm. just take 5g per day, and stay very hydrated, atleast 16 glasses of water per day, especially when working out, just take a sip between sets.

  • im 15 and i take creatine everyday, ive been taking it for 2 weeks now and ive gained 6 pounds of muscle! this shit works! but you gotta work out with the creatine, cause if you don't then you kinda get watery man boobs because the water your intaking is not going into physical exercise, i do only bench press, shoulder press, dips, and barbell curls. oh and take nitric oxide if you want that pump in your arms.

  • Go to GNC actually go to vitamin shoppe if u have one.....since they have a 40% discount goin on till April. Buy Creakic from Muscle Tech and drink plenty of water the directions are on the back. I have noticed great results from this stuff. People say Muscle Tech is overhyped probably is but i noticed great gains with Creakic. I take Creakic Leuckic and Gakic Stack with Cytogainer.

  • first 5 days "load creatine" u need to get it into ur system to work. take 20g creatine a day for 5 days. if u experience bloating,stomache problems, then reduce the load down to 10 grams a day but for 10 days.

    the next 2 weeks take 1 gram per 40 lbs of ur body weight. i weigh 150 so ill take about 4 grams of creatine roughly. (take 2 before ur worout and 2 after)

    the next 2-3 weeks take a break. no creatine at all.

    Remember to intake tons of water due to ur muscle cells intaking.

  • firs 5 days load creatine 20g per day(4 servings),after load take 10g per day(2 servings) for 3-4 weeks! use creatine no longer then 5 weeks,most imortant serving is when you wake up and after training! and always drink creatine on 'empty' stomach!

  • its been proven that the load phase is not needed. at 5g a day your muscle creatine storage will fill in under a month, roughly the same amount of time it takes even with a loading phase

  • yeah I have to agree, the reason creatine is for 16 & up...usually 18 and up... is bcuz at 13 the body just isnt ready for weight training & supplement use...If anything he should try out Protein Powder, its much safer for a 13 yr old.

  • creatine is probably the safest supplement you can take. your body creates creatine naturally. he can take it if he wants, just if he over doses it can become toxic to ur body, i agree with u on that tho he is a little too young, but its perfectly safe if you take it in the correct moderation

  • I've just started taking creatine, six caps a day three before I work out and three after.

    My question to anyone who can answer is should I still take it even if I don't workout? I mean I train Monday to Friday but not at the weekend, but should I still take it? Or is it only to be taken on the days I work out?

    Any help will be most appreciated

  • yes. if you rea on the back of the jar it says to take it 2x's more if ur not working out but 1 serving then 12hours later next i just read alot about it and started yesterday:P going to get kacked/ how long have u been tanking it/is it working well?

  • I've been taking it for about a month now and I must admit I have been feeling the benefits. I'm able to work out for longer and can lift more weights.

    I do allot of running to and it's increased the amount of laps I can do...I also feel less fatigued in-between workouts.

    so far so good

  • ha more than likly ur taking way to much, and probably not taking enough water with it so i d suggest lay off on weekends, if u ve taken it for 8-12 weeks straight get off for 4 weeks

    I don't mean to interrupt or take over but in simple terms to all those ppl.

    Creatine, what does it do?: Allows your muscles to absorb the water, which results in higher repetition or allows you to lift a lilttle more than usual because of all the oxygen in your muscle from the water.

    Note: once your off the creatine, depending on your body you loose percent of that water in your muscle. So it's beneficial but only to certain extent...gives u a lil push.

  • thats bullshit there are no restrictions to what age you can use it but i wouldn't suggest using it until you're about 16 as you're body probably isn't developed to a level where you should be using heavy weights in the gym and creatine is most effective when used with a proper weights programme

  • if Creatine increases atm stores, and i'm trying to "cut up" [currently taking protein power after weights and doing cardio] does that mean if i take creatine, it's going to take longer for me to burn fat in the long term? as in will take longer to burn fat stores on a run? or should i take creatine and increase my muslce size and fat will just eventually come off
