At Garyuan Dojo we also practice Tenjin Myoshin Ryu Ju Jutsu, Katayama Hoki Ryu Ju Jutsu (Kogusoku) and Chishin Ryu Hakuda. You can read something about on our web site.
Thank you, I like your channel very much. It is very interesting!
@TsubameJJ Awesome. Katayama Hoki Ryu looks very interesting. I'm familiar wit the amount of effort it takes to reconstruct something like that, it's impressive. Lots of research, that is for sure. Kudos! Chishin ryu i have only heard about....
@mekugi Yes, this work is very tiring sometimes, but Sensei Nakashima is very kind and he knows very well Katayama Hoki Ryu. It is very interesting to study this Ryu directly on Katayama Hoki no Kami's writings. In this way it is possible to go directly inside the heart of the discipline.
@TsubameJJ You probably already know this, but there is a close connection to Takenouchi ryu and Katayama Hoki ryu. I used to study sister school in Sosuishuryu, I can see some of the same roots laid our in this school. Let'stake this conversation to a PM, shall we? Kudos!
Yes I know: in densho of Katayama family there are many references to Takenouchi Ryu. Unfortunatly I've only seen some video about Takenouci ryu and I've never practiced its techniques yet. Anyway at the dojo we are working in Fuden Ryu So Jutsu under Soke Takeo Nakada supervision. Fuden Ryu is called Takenouchi Ryu's Yari because originally techniques were taken from this Ryu.
I'm happy to have this conversation in PM. You can send an e-mail to info@asd-ilponte. org . next week I'll be out of Italy to meet sensei Nakashima.

Good stuff, it's nice to see Nakashima sensei on here. Do you also do Tenshin Koryu (Shinto Tenshin Ryu) at your school?
