Dude, you know nothing about electric car systems. Tesla used some of the most efficient systems in the industry. At most, all the accessories in the car use only 20 kw combined. That is nothing; maybe five miles off your range. Tesla has the best batteries in the industry. Anything better is not for sale because it's in a lab.
A big problem is air conditioning which used many amps and i take U wouldn't put a subwoofer that also uses many amps!! That's just a double din off the shelf stereo btw! It would do better with a clutch and transmission just as a fuel engine benefits you only don't need a clutch for economy! the car really needs a better battery, custom cells instead of 7k little batteries!
I love the Tesla Roadster, I plan to buy one. It only cost $100,000 dollars, that's cheap. Who ever thinks that $100,000 dollars for a car is expensive then you need to fire your boss. :P
@Shiqna1 i wouldn't go that far in saying everything will be "dead". You clearly have no idea that North America has more oil than approximately 2 middle easts, not to mention Russia which is home to the largest amount of natural resources ever. Yes we will be urging for electric cars, such as this, but no, we wont run out of oil for quite sometime.
