  • The pot scrubbers would be MUCH more effective if they were above the water line with the water trickling down through them.

  • @asrichards21497 Yes, you're right ! I can't change it because of Automatic Water Exchange. Water Level is too high.

  • but the dry filter part is almost underneath the water =x

  • @XDheee I can't change it because of Automatic Water Exchange. Water Level is too high.

  • Steel in fish tank = no good

  • @Spyder001oUSAo Steel ? What steel ?

  • Though you have steel in your tank. That is dangerous and will not show up on your copper readings. So it might not be copper and in time steel can become harmful.

  • @nymxcar 2 is OK. GL with wet/dry filtration. This is the best filtration that you can get for your fish !

  • What are those colorful cool things? I am assuming the work as bio balls? Got a link where you got them?

  • @nymxcar Hey i just saw your comment almost as you posted it haha but the colorful things are dish scrubbers. You can find them a your grocery store or Target or Walmart. Places like that should have them. Hope I helped!

  • @CCichlids Yep. That is true ! Thanks you :)

  • @CCichlids another cheap way of getting good surface area, drinking straws! i chopped up 5er6 packs of em for mine and did the math, the straws have over 13,000 square inches of surface area, it takes a little longer than the pre filter pads to colonize but once they get goin, its game over

  • @nymxcar This is my bio filtration. Even better than bioballs and much cheaper. Use google and put "scrubbers", you will find place where to buy this things :) Thank you :)

  • in the water pump hose outlet, don't use any iron.

    you should remove it.

    great video and setup.

    thanks

  • @haam010 There is no Iron on it :) Thanks !

  • @mmalejko He meant steel. You def want to get that out of there. Also those pot scrubbers contain some type of metal holding it together (mine have copper but some maybe steel). In time Copper = deadfish. Anyways your goin to be hitting some serious problems if you dont work these problems out..

  • @Spyder001oUSAo Hi, this tank is working more than half a year. All fish are OK. Stingrays and flagtail. I was testing water couple weeks ago: Copper (Cu++) - 0.03.

On my Arowana tank (second tank) where I do not use scrubbers: Copper (Cu++) - 0.05 - that means is little too high.
