I'm sick of the 15% interest rate under the Tories lie. They certainly announced they would raise the rate to 15% to try and defend the pound against Soros, but they realised they couldn't win and cancelled it.

Brown also said that if Britain left the ERM after White Wednesday, interest rates would go UP. What sort of economic illiterate believes that you put up interest rates after leaving an exchange rate system that kept them too high!!?
