  • Doesn't really matter, this notion that my religion is better the your religion because, well I believe in it therefore it must be the best or the one true religion is nonsense.

  • For the first time ever, H.H. Kyabje Trijang Rinpoche's autobiography THE ILLUSORY PLAY is now fully available in English.

Download this beautifully translated account of Trijang Rinpoche's life at dorjeshugden(dot)com.

    A MUST READ!

  • I hear these eternal melodies of Dorje Shugden always loved, even still vibrates and relive the great moments of his Authentic True Enlightenment, he alone is the real key to the universe of true selfless compassion Without Violence, Angry is only against ignorance in its many events ... True compassion towards the practitioner of nonviolence, Feeding in constant desire to give pure love, to empty this Samsara by Grief, made from the most fear ...

  • Wow such a beautiful temple the ancient looking scroll of dorje shugden is great as well as all the other dorje shugden scrolls etc. I would love to visit there. So much power so much energy.

  • There is a really clear thread in dorjeshugden(dot)com illustrating "behind the scene" efforts to cause the manifestation of Dharma Protector Dorje Shugden from the time of Dulzin Dragpa Gyaltsen (one of Dorje Shugden previous incarnations). The thread's title is: "Nechung & Dorje Shugden - Kyabje Trijang Rinpoche". What is very empowering is: the source of the thread is no other than Music Delighting An Ocean of Protectors!

  • Is Trode Khangsar open to the public? I was just wondering because I might be visiting Tibet and I would love to see this temple... if it's not open to public, does anyone know how to get access? Thanks,

  • May this monastery flourish and be the cause for harmony, peace, and healing.

  • Dorje Shugden's Mandala has Dharmapala Setrap above him and above Setrap is Amitabha Buddha. This is probably because Setrap was the Dharma Protector that officially enthroned him.

  • @closerelative i read that Setrap is the Dharma Protector of Gaden Shartse Monastery. If so, then why is he not banned like Dorje Shugden when they are linked together?

  • @TheDharmaKnight It's not spirit worship. If it was, then surely the Dalai Lama would have known it as soon as he met Dorje Shugden and not years later. The Dalai Lama is an enlightened being - said to be Chenrezig - how can Chenrezig not know Dorje Shugden is a spirit til later? It's not logical.

  • I was told that Trode Khangsar - the temple of Dorje Shugden is off the beaten track and is on a small trail that goes from the Barkor, the pilgrim- circumambulation circuit around the Jokhang.

  • Wow the official home of Dorje Shugden! How do we get there? does anyone know if this place allows foreigners to visit? Is it closed to foreigners? Any information is welcome, please PM me , thank you in advance

  • there's a good article on the dorjeshugden (do t) com website about 5th Dalai Lama... in the light of this video, I'd recommend having a read of this article, as well as the many extensive biographies of well known DS lamas around the world and through time.

It gives you many different inspiring insights into the courage, strength & incredible benefit that these beings have brought to others.

  • Wow! This is it! This chapel was built by the Great Fifth after enthroning Dorje Shugden as an oracle. Isn't also the very spot where he was murdered and transformed into a Dharma Protector. Does anybody know?

  • 1 of 2: Trode Khangsar, in the heart of Lhasa, illustrates how the official establishment of our protector Dorje Shugden by the leading political figure at the time: the 5th Dalai Lama. In the 17th century, the Dalai Lama designated Trode Khangsar as a protector house for Dorje Shugden to appease him and return harmony and peace to Tibet.

  • @leedhi

Yes, may there be peace and harmony in Tibet and most importantly in the monastic institutions and practitioners all over the world.

  • hey this is trode kangsar isn't it?

It was built by 5TH DALAI LAMA, no less. Although there seemed to be some so-called rivalry, the 5th dalai lama was very much saddened that Tulku Drakpa Gyeltsen was killed. He wrote many praises to Dorje Shugden that are still being used today.

  • The 5th Dalai Lama tried to destroy Shugden through fire rituals but when he found that Shugden could not be destroyed, he realised that Shugden was an enlightened being and he regretted his past animosity towards Shugden. Therefore, he built this temple for Shugden and even hand crafted a statue of Shugden. He also composed praises to Shugden. So i would say that he didn't start out being a Shugden follower but he definitely became one.

  • this is the spring of all Dorje Shugden practice!

the power place everyone must go and pay homage to the Great King of this World system.

Homage to Lord Manjugosha in a Wrathful Stance

Blessing us with your body speech and mind

Protecting us with your love wisdom and might

Leading us to the ultimatium of Je Tsongkhapa's teachings!

  • What a beatiful chpel. I hope to visit this template one day to pay homage, receive blessings. And very glad to know of new monasteries being buil!

  • Beautiful !! D.Shugden looks good ! How sacred. How amazing that the chapel is still here today after 350yrs. Millions are still worshiping DS and this means that he is still a great man and millions still believes in him. He is of no harm to anyone. He is the great protector of generations to come.

  • China is supporting the practice and the spread of Dorje Shugden`s lineage.. Lama Gangchen has friendly relations with China/Tibet. He is a regular visitor.

  • The 5th was not a Shugden follower. He performed fire rituals against him. But he did not destroy statues or temples. The 13th restricted the practice. Both were critical.

  • what a beautiful video! Thank you for sharing this and the brief history about it. If the Great 5th had later changed his mind about Dorje Shugden's pure nature then surely he would have had this Temple destroyed.

  • I thought the Dalai Lama said that China had destroyed all these Buddhist temples, and repressed Tibetan Buddhism, so how can this be true?

  • This beautiful and ancient Chapel managed by many monks in Lhasa.

Daily many pilgrims visit to make offerings, offer khata, prayers, request for pujas, request for serkym or ritual drink offerings to be done.

It has been like this for 350 years.

From this location you can see the grand palace of the Dalai Lama, Potala. It is all very nearby.

One of the holiest shrines in Lhasa in full working order to recieve pilgrims.

Many gentle and helpful monks at chapel ready to help.

  • This is a historical testament that Dorje Shugden's practice has been around for more than 350 years.

The 5th Dalai Lama himself had this chapel built for Dorje Shugden. The main statue of Dorje Shugden was also commissioned by the 5th Dalai Lama.

This chapel is strategically located right behind the most sacred shrine of Jowo Buddha or Central Cathedral in Lhasa.

Jowo Buddha is the most sacred Buddha statue in all of Tibet and a huge pilgrims' draw for all Tibetans.

    Beautiful!
