what IS it with keeping empty bottles? Sometimes I have a clear out, and soak the labels so they can be defaced enough to go in the recycling bin,It must be a security thing, as I even kept old papers, to lick in hard times, and a friend kept empty heroin amps.. so sad really.

I'm detoxing after slowly tapering down to 5 mgs. I'm 5 days into it and the only symptoms are leeplessess/restlessness at night and aching bones and a little irritability. It's nothing really, but still sucks. I haven't slept more than 3 hours in the past two days.

You're definitely one of the lucky ones! I guess you must have tapered your daily dose down to a small amount. Whatever the case, I'm glad you're not suffering. Withdrawl from methadone takes longer to kick in but you should be feeling the pain after 4 days.

Lol, those bottles do pile up after a while! I'm currently detoxing off methadone, and after building it up so much, I'm finding it to be a walk in the park. My comparison would be: heroin withdrawal is like bad flu, whilst methadone withdrawal is like a bad cold. With heroin WD I would wake up nauseas, and eat very little, but with methadone Ive found my appetite to be ravenous! Im averaging 4 meals a day!...

I've tried many times.chronic relapser. first time- I quit cold turkey 120 mgs...after 4 months i caved back on the needle and almost OD. I don't understand why people say they are a ghost or have lost emotions because of done. I'm very emotional and I enjoy life better on done. now that you are off, do you have 12 step support? how much done does the government give? it looked like only 20mg a day for the green linctus..

@bardster111 Don't go for the 12 step thing but I understand how it works for some. Had cut down to about 25-30mls before I did ibo. Not a lot maybe but I would hit the damn ceiling if I stopped that suddenly. I blamed methadone for a lot of my problems and I think I was wrong to do that. It is possible to live a pretty good life on it too. I'm more into backing heroin prescribing though.

I've heard of a couple people (on forums) that get heroin prescribed. not sure what country? they say it's a last resort if the methadone doesn't work and is extremely difficult. The main thing I don't understand about presciption heroin is thefact that most 'serious' junkies have collapsed veins. I wonder how use ful that would be? hrmm..do you have any links with any information to read you could post? this is something I'm very interested in.

@bardster111 It can be prescribed in the Uk but rarely is. Its injectable and can be skin popped. If you do a search on Black Poppy magazine you should find articles in there.

Far as i know ibogaine is not available in the US however You can detox from methadone without medical treatment. you would wish you were dead. Med detox is deff. needed for detox from alcohol and benzo's.

i just ordered 500 mgs of Imogaine HCL 98% Iboga powder from internet for $300 in Canada I am 140 lbs. How much do i take. I dont have the money to fly out to a professional clinic so i will detox off of 44 mgs of methadone at home with supervision from a friend and my fiancee. Does anyone know? please help

I really don't feel qualified to tell you the exact amounts to use. I think I used 1.5g of HCL. I took it in stepped doses though. 1g (1000mg) first and then 1/2g after about 2 hours. For the tv documentary it wasn't possible to be specific just in case someone had a fatal reaction from misreading the info. Please be very careful with this stuff and definitely don't do it alone. saw this repeated on some bbc digital channel last night, i had forgotten what a brilliant documentary it is...I have seen Wireburners and Little criminals,having worked with addicts for many years i am always interested in films and tv on this subject,but David's i think are the best.Always helped along by that gentle highlands voice over.One complaint, a little more carla wouldn't go amiss.Does anyone know if it is possible to buy "Beyond the Highlands"anywhere,as i would love to see it.
