  • The economy is crashing because money is no longer relevant. We can produce more food for more people than there is currently living on earth. Every household usually has a lawnmower, a car, a hammer..etc that isn't being used 98% of the time, which means more accessibility to resources if people learned to share.

We don't need money. We need an intelligent way to manage resources.

  • 760 views... meanwhile, justin beiber has 50,000,000 views. that's what is wrong with humans. we are fundamentally wired incorrectly to enjoy short term gratification and excitement.

  • 2012 will be an interesting year..

  • the reason for propping the banks is because if the financial system fails, the whole economy hurls into chaos. there's nothing else going on save shock, a bit of inspirational cooperation, and dogs eating dogs.

then we've the mixed-blessing of most people not having a clue. most people don't understand economics, so they just went about their business while electing a new president. if they knew, everything would halt, yet then progress might have had a chance.

  • if you're going to talk about "smart buildings", you should throw some science behind it. you may lose some audience, but you'll sound less idealistic, impractical.

in reality, the "old regime" is whining about the alternatives not being cost effective.

capitalism and socialism haven't gone anywhere. the kids should think about them.

  • clearly pointed out the analogy with sharing on the internet - so why money? how about the RBE?

  • How come he talks about a revolution and he projects the future with ideas of making money, using the very same paradigms that put us in this situation and putting aside any other options? We do need a world revolution, a paradigm shift, a new design for society, a new perspective of our world. We need to get in touch with our problems, our needs, our wants and do something to provide the population with abundance. We need something different. We need a Resource Based Economy.

  • @lachdanan666 We need to transition to a RBE first. What he's talking about: becoming less dependent on elite energy sources like natural gas and oil and moving towards a free / renewable distributed energy infrastructure. Tell me that isn't a **HUGE** step towards an RBE since the monetary market system itself is almost entirely dependent on oil.

  • @lachdanan666 Definitely, absolutely true. Actually, such approach would make everyone see the posibilities and consider the obsolescence of the market nd monetary system, but the more projected everything is towards a RBE, the more efficient the transition will be.

  • @lachdanan666 I absolutelly agree with you about our needs and all. But the fact is that if he says everything else we'd like to hear, he would just wake up a big reactionary machine, and would be imediately dismissed as a communist. Theres space for radicalism, we need humanists with an outspoken attitude such as yourself. But if you think about it pragmatically, this guy might be doing more for your own goals then someone with a radical speech. Thats the nature of politics. i know it sucks.

  • @paivei Thanks for that point of view, youre right, its the kind of transition we need.

  • Gotta love this guy. I can't figure how someone with such maverick ideas has managed to be so influent in mainstream politics. But it sure gives me hope that he did so.

Thanks for the upload. Shall his beautiful anarchist prophecy materialize!
