@69CRUZR I'm basing that off of my truck which is a 4x4, 5.0 v8, with dual tanks.

The lightning package wasn't like the SS versions Chevy produced, They were fully loaded with all the toys and upgraded suspensions so they could turn corners. They also used the thicker F250 boxed frame.

They might not have been as heavy as my truck but they weren't light weight.

@macman237 dumbfuck, 3.3 sec at 360 is done in high performance nitro funny cars that aren't street legal and probably weigh less than 1000 ibs. Try having a street elgal truck that is ~4500 ibs. and can run a 10.69 at 123.81 mph. Try looking really good while doing it too.

Actually dip shit i do, i had a 2006 F-250 diesel for my work truck. It was fast once the turbo kicked in, i even had the bullydog tuning in it. But lets be real bro your talking about 9,200lbs-thats heavy as shit. You aren't running 11's or 12's with any diesel like that. You can't even run damn 15's with that. Top speed is good but bottom end is crazy slow.

Diesel dragsters, including cars have been around for a while, they're just not breaking records, not many people think of a diesel when they're on the subject of racing. But as oilfield666 mentioned, they're capable of producing thousands of ft.-lbs. of torque. Enough to move a truck into the 7 second range.
