  • That's a bahaman anole so they call it

  • They suck

  • I had no idea people kept these as pets... I saw a couple at a pet store earlier and decided to do some research on them...

The reason why I find it hard to believe that they are kept as pets is because I see them EVERYWHERE around here. And I mean it, they are literally everywhere; you can't walk anywhere down here without seeing AT LEAST 4-5 within your field of vision.

  • I had 3 anoles ten years ago. I researching on what happened to them and about them. I'm coming to a conclusion that whoever sold them to us didn't know anything about anoles.

I think that all 3 may have been different species, but my most pressing question is how the last two died. That was back in the 90's. When I found out, the crickets were still bouncing around the cage and the two anoles had a clear hole in the head where their brain used to be.....

  • @Comenter2222 you probably dont know what tame is and when they close theyr eyes almost all lizards do that

  • Your film is very interesting & you're obviously fond of this little lizard, but as soon as I saw his condition I was listening out for you to explain why. He looks really dehydrated.. with his eyes as sunken as that. Have a look at wildstar1's vids of wild anoles in her garden in Lower Alabama (Reptile Ridge) to see what really healthy ones look like.. and you'll see what I mean.

  • i have 1

  • species not is-fishes

  • The poor man's reptilian pet. Seriously it's the common goldfish of the lizard world. I had m any of these things as a kid... one time it even laid eggs after my friend left one of his anole's in my tank over night with mine. Unfortunately they never hatched. My mom tells me they were crunched by the baby iguana I kept in the tank with them.

  • Well, green anoles can have red dewlaps, but yes, brown anoles have a brighter dewlap. Also, I live in south florida and I see plenty of Green Anoles. Sure, the brown anoles do hurt the population, but there is still plenty of green anoles down here in Florida.

  • i am hopeing to get 1 friday keep up the good work awsome video

  • that voice. THAT VOICE.

  • This girl is dumb that is not the right scientific name and she pronounces anole like and idiot

  • wow a pet? Their are like five out on my patio right now!

  • @FattyDudley You call us crazy? It's you Eurofags who have the most pet reptiles.

Oh wait...you're not even from Europe.

    ...

    Get out.

  • @jedihunter176 I'm Antartican. I live alongside penguins whom I call pets and also I have polar bears as companions. I swim with my polar bear everyday in the cold waters of antartic ocean. Now you can call me crazy back.

  • @FattyDudley Hahaha, never mind man, you're awesome.

  • I have a pet Anole named Rayne. :)

  • It is called an Anole, not an Unole like most americans say, or Anoley.

  • @hamiltonlegend24 It's spelled Anole but PRONOUNCED A - NO - LEE. It sounds like ANOLEY but is spelled Anole.

  • @bluehorse1214 well over here we say anole and id say the majority of people pronounce it as its spelt. its more the way her voice as an upward inflection at the end of every sentence that gets on my nerves

  • @hamiltonlegend24 I honestly laughed at your cursing above.

  • @geofrog777 foOOds

hahaha, by the way, does anyone know how to do the thing where you can type a time on the video (like 1:39) and have it become highlighted?

  • @llamasorus Yours is high lighed too. You just need to type 1:39 and then refresh the page and see your comment and there it is.

  • i have 100 of those in my yard :\

they love to sleep on the windows and roam all around the house.

    they are funny ;o

I love them just because they eat the mosquitoes, ants and big night bugs ! :D

  • i got 7 of them from the miami area in a 10 gallon tank. they are like miniature iguanas (you would definitely know what i mean if you live in the deep south of florida area) grow and grew up to "5- 7 1/2 in." they're some of the coolest pets i had.

  • Little is known?! Bull crap, I watched them invade Houston, and I've studied their breeding habits myself!

  • anolee? its A N O L E

  • @MrWatersnake12 your right it is pronounced an ole not anolee

  • @totaltrekker No it's pronouced Anolee, not An ole

  • How much would an anole with the cage and supplies cost? Do they need a heat lamp?

  • i use to shoot thos brown anoles with my bee-bee gun

  • DO NOT LISTEN TO ANY REPTILE VIDS BY EXPERTVILLAGE, EHOW, OR ANY HOW-TO ACCOUNTS. LOOK FOR AN EXPERIENCED REPTILE OWNER.

  • that is ridiculously cute. He looks like he's grinning!! Probably because he's thinking about how he robbed the green anoles of their land

  • Do brown anoles change to green from brown? Like the oppisite of Green Anoles?

  • @xinic5 No, but they have a variety of brown shades. ;Light to dark and sort of a brick red when excited.

  • omg #FAIL Anoley!

  • She is a stupid bitch aren't they pronounced Anole (an-ol) not Anoley

  • you say it wrong. Its pronounced a-nol. not a-nol-ey.

  • @reptileuniverse maybe. I think it could be pronounced anolee but I think it is pronounced how ti is spelled.

  • my brown anole has triangle pattens down its back. not just plain brown

  • anoley rofl

  • my green anole has that

  • that's so cool that its like a gecko!

  • people feed these to bearded dragons

  • @sheeplikesganja alot of lizards eat these things, along with the green anole, they are small enough to fit in any lizards bouth over the langth of, i'd say 18 inches, alot of ppl think of these as feeder lizards like mice, rats, crickets ect. even chameleons eat these thing lol

  • in my area, there are no anoles. so i went out and bought a green anole.

  • dude i see those things everywhere, why buy it when you can capture it.

  • you shouldnt keep them from thw ild anyway theyle dye and they are wild not pets.

  • @havalito478 I agree, espicially when the ones you buy were probably mass bred and put in horrible conditions before it got to the pet store. I caught my green anole instead of buying one.

  • Oh yeah, this explanation is about the Green Anole, not Bahama Anole.
