Actually,he doesnt fell ashamed for the cartoon,because many guys like it for the big battles(like on Munulist or whatever the planet was called and Coruscant).Also Cpt.Fordo is in there and hes an asskicker.And I specially liked the part where Grievous killed the small jedi group in the crashed Acclamator.

our fan film has the approval of LucasFilms LTD and it had been showed in Celebration IV the official 30th Star Wars Anniversary event in L.A. no secrets and nothing out of normal in the fan film category.

This fan film was never finish because of its complexity and the necesary budget to do it. In the end it was very fun to do the scenes and we get alot o recognition for the idea and efford.

I hope I'll finish it in the future.

@HallowedHoly - At the actual state of the film I have created the first 4 minutes of the movie. Alot of aditional generic scenes for testing visual FX and for aditional options during editing.

@darthvatrayen Lucas doesnt sue his fans. Paramount cracked down on Star Trek when fans started making websites, shrines and fanclub sites in the late 90s and it was a really bad move which caused some backlash - Lucas stood by and saw this happen, so he's not about to sue someone tor loving Star Wars.

You need to undestand first the concept of Fan Film before saying that thing. This is a non profit hobbie style production done by a group of friends and fans of Star Wars in their free time and just for sharing some time togheter.

lots of money, patience and time. This stuff takes SOOOOOOO much time. I made a quick lightsaber video once that lasted about 10 seconds, but took me almost 2 or 3 hours to completely edit. I don't even wanna imagine how much time it takes them to do all the things they are doing.

I only produce the first 4 minutes of the short movie.

Time of production: 1 month working alone the production and post-production process. I do the work of director, photography, producer, editor, some music score  and effects and animation. Then I contacted the 501stLegion and ask then to participate with their replica costumes.

4 weeks of constant work. One man with the idea of having fun and do some experimentation. :)

I don´t like CGI ships in movies. They all look fake. Why didn´t you use models instead? You´re chroma key work looks awesome. Great work man!

Built High Quality models is very expensive and you need experience people to get hyperdetail on miniatures, also you need an expensive motion control camera system to get the shots. this project is a fan film and I work on it in my free time and with no budget, my area of work is behind the camera and later behind the computer to get the animations and FXs (sometimes inside a costume LOL).

Not sure yet. The original script of the Film is very complex and the production process is slow because I'm working this on my free time. We got the chance to show the first 4 minutes of the film on Celebration IV but now the project is on "stand by" and I'm on pre-production again thinking how to produce the rest of the film.

Just saw the 4 minutes...looks fantastic. The thing about the AtomFilms contest, my understanding is that only two 59 second music clips of original Star Wars music may be used and not consecutively. I do music scoring if you need something simular. I use a Roland XP60 with an orchestral expansion card (sounds wonderful). So if you need help there, I can help (for the hell of it). I hope you finish it. It looks like the best Star Wars fan film yet.

Thanks. I use Cinema4D for the 3D work (some Illustrator for drawing some paths), After Effects and Photoshop for compositing and MattePainting and Protools and Logic for sound. Everything done on MacPro and MacBookPro computers.
