  • Wow his wife is so lovely! No wonder he loves her so much.

  • I was like *gasp!* SARAH!! VIDEO OF THE YETI oh wait no that's wrong.

  • It's funny that he's not religious, cause the name tim actually means 'worshiper of god'. Found that out when I was looking for names for my sisters baby mas :)

  • @timminchin FUCK! Don't just appear in comments like that, you gave me a heart attack! *edges away to do some frantic googling*

  • 11 months ago. fix the title now sheesh

  • anyone else notice that on stage, he looks a bit like Jareth, and his wife's name is Sarah..?

  • We´re over the... WHAT?

  • His wife is beautiful! Lucky boy Mr Minchin! "if I didn't have you someone else would do" (but she wouldnt be a beautiful as that one)

  • It's weird how normal he looks at home :P

  • Why was there that jesus picture behind him?

  • I love how he has a fucking Jesus image behind him. Tim Minchin is the most brilliant overall performer of our generation...period.

  • BtS with Tim; love it. It's almost like he's a real human or something.

  • "Somewhere over the ?" I can't make out the last word

  • Sacred Heart of Jesus wall hanging--I think Tim's a closet Christian :P!

  • Oh don't you fucking do this xD

  • Is there any way of listening to this song online?

  • Jesus at doors - I love it!

  • Wauw he looks so normal! I love it!

  • Look at him with his at-home hair

  • He really reminds me of my step-brother in this video.... o.o

    A compliment to both parties.

  • Over the Rainbow!

  • Top of Tim's head in the mirror... :')

  • love that he has a jesus poster thing on the wall behind him :')

  • is anyone else in shock that the hair is contained and normal looking??

  • anyone else reckon he looks a little odd without his hair and make-up done?? :P Xx.

  • Sarah and Tim always reminded me of my boyfriend and I in this clip, especially how Tim gets all excited over his recording and starts miming along to it. Something my boyfriend does a lot with his own music. xD

  • This sounds like such a beautiful song! Would love to hear it in its entirety.

  • I am smacking my head against the wall... Wanna hear this song so badly! Fuuuhuuuhuuuck!

When I am denied access to content I think I might really enjoy, I'll admit, I do get a bit... obsessive about it until I can gain access... the fact that this may not actually be around beyond this clip makes me worry that I may not break this cycle. OH NOES.

  • lol Jesus behind :D

  • This is the finale for a musical written by Kate Mulvaney and I for the Q Theatre Company (Penrith, NSW) in 2004. It was called "Somewhere" and was commissioned for the opening of their new theatre. xt

  • @timminchin

It's a crying shame that I only started enjoying musicals one or two years hence. Even more that I can't find any productions of Matilda in Seattle. Are there any ways that poor, poor Americans such as myself could find some way to experience these?

This is me thanking you for providing the theater info for "Somewhere", even if there is no way for me to see it in full and this is me saying that I can't wait for a tour with a US leg (fingers crossed for Seattle!).

  • @timminchin Great, thanks a lot for the information! Is there a way you could upload this or something?

  • @timminchin or some sheet music. My friend plays piano, I sing... we could make it work! :D

Any way that I can sort of hear it come together 'cause OHHH DAMN... sounds like one beast of a song.

  • @timminchin yay for the Q (my local!!)

  • @timminchin Is this song on youtube? Or is there any possibility of watching a clip from the production somewhere online?

  • @timminchin I remember it well, the first show I was ever in and I loved singing those songs :-)

  • @timminchin Dude, do you just look yourself up on youtube all day? I would. Love your work.

  • @timminchin Yeah I sounds great, I want to hear the whole version.

  • Oh man, I would have so much fun with that Jesus door curtain thingy.

    FALCON PAWNCH!

  • Where can you watch the whole thing does anyone know ??

  • @toriiCTx It's the official documentary called "Rock 'n' Roll Nerd - The Tim Minchin Documentary". It's available on dvd.

  • Ooh it's Sarah! It's nice to finally have a face to put to the name when he talks about her.

  • why does he have a giant door hanging of Jesus?!?!?!

  • Thanks. Now I have a song stuck in my head, and that song doesn't literally exist.

  • Comment removed

  • @coolbean08 It's not?

  • wow his wife is beautiful. he is so lucky. and she is lucky too. beneath all the talent, which is just obvious, i reckon they are just really kind people.

  • Lucky man...he's talented with music and comedy...not to mention the gift of a beautiful wife that he has been with since he was 17 years old. This man is truly blessed (no, not that delusional religious sort of blessing).

  • What's the name of the film or documentary this is from? I have seen a few clips but can't find the whole thing anywhere! Thanks!

  • @VamLoveAndKisses "Rock 'n' Roll Nerd - The Tim Minchin Documentary"

  • its sooo good video/movie!!!! :):) i have it tii, its the doc film, right?

  • @heidike123 Yes, it is - love it ;)

  • will he ever finalize this

  • Jesus, HAHAHAHA

  • Thanks for sharing your information with me, guys!

It's indeed a shame Tim didn't finalize it, I really like the sound :)

  • Thanks for sharing the video. I really dig it, too :)

  • I am assuming its called "When the Sun Goes Down"

Its a shame he didn't finalize it. Sounds like it had the chance to be a beautiful piece similar to "Grew on Me" or "Not Perfect" or "White Wine in the Sun"

  • it's a song about commuting (and quite catchy too) but it obviously didn't make the final cut. RaRN is the only place i've ever heard it

  • There's a discussion in the forum on Angry Feet and no one knows.
