  • Does anyone know what the song is that is playing at 1:15? I've searched for it everywhere :/

  • @WickedExpert1 isn't it from muse?

  • why so many dislike on this, while those shitty movies out there get so many likes?I just saw it,it is actually a very good movie, the trailer does no do this movie fair.

  • Got the chance to go to a free screening of this and met Darren Lynn Bousman last night at the Enzian Theater (he sat at the table next to mine with his parents) with some fellow Full Sail students, he was very humble and open to sharing his story to how he scored a big franchise (Saw 2) after having no previous experience. He gave some great advice. This movie was pretty awesome and really worth a watch!

  • @lookingforstuff101 I was there as well!!!!

  • I have not seen this film yet, but I just hope finally in the end someone gets to kick those sick invaders into touch. If not? waste of time. No point in building up all that badness if they dont get their just desserts.

  • I remember watching the original back in the day. It was okay. I love Troma films and everything but it was a little too corny in parts. I always thought it could do with a remake.

    And here we are.....

  • this was fantastic in my opinion way better than the the original first time i ever said that it was more serious and had a great story to it i loved it

  • Just finished watching this movie and.. it is very disturbing...in fact the most disturbing ive seen in awhile ..but 2 thumbs up for the intensity and premise

  • GREAT movie don't let your preconceived notions stop you from seeing one of the best horror films, I've seen this yr.

  • Remaking Troma can only end in tears... Especially if its done in a completely straight-faced manner. Also, home invasion horror is SO 2009.

  • oooooooo

  • Does anyone know any films that are like this. This film was amazing and its so worth the watch. And I do find the remake better than the original.

  • @ThePinkBlooded Theres another movie like this that the older women is in. Its called "The Hand that rocks the cradle" its a pretty good this movie is also good too.

  • i actually really like this XD has my favourite actor briana evigan, so i was happy just to see her ;)

  • the original is ten times better this remake is not bad but differnt

  • The song is called Aubade by Julian Shah-Taylor

  • @Kantingbazil I LOVE YOU THANK U SO MUCH

  • This movie was badass.

  • PLZZZ TELL ME WHAT'S THE SONG'S NAME AT 1:11 PLZZ!

  • auwtchh...xs

  • Very hard film....

  • one of the best horror-thriller movies i've ever seen!!

  • The story is

the 3 sons are bankrobbers. They have been giving money to that address for months because their mom lived there but they never realized she moved out the house.

The mother now wants all the money back, 1 by 1 they all start dieing etc.

Most of the girls live....but they all get hurt

  • Mothers day and I spit on your grave.........kick ass!!! Im very happy ya ms soo happy hehe

  • 1:06 that dude wasnt in the movie.

  • The killers are so fricken hot. I got so upset when they died.

  • the mother ISN'T old and mentally deranged? and they're NOT hillbillies? well that's just not fun X-(

  • Love Rebecca de Mornay! Knows how to play the ultimate femme fatale!

  • This is NOT Mothers Day. Besides, no scene of getting Drano poured down someone's throat, no t.v. smashed over the head, no electric meat knife to the crotch, hope this film bombs.

  • i hate when they cast cute guys as killers. it makes me feel so horrible.

  • this is one of the best thriller movie I've ever watched. I thought this movie would be cheesy and didn't have any tense at all, but I was wrong. I like the plot and the nerves in the movie, but I just hate the ending :(

  • @cliffto6 i loved the ending! ugh it just makes you HATE the mother even more!!

  • @jakesohn7591 When it comes to dating, i'd consider Bebeye Dating Community an ideal site for online dating: it is a 100% FREE DATING community at bebeye.com

  • @jakesohn7591 lol yes, I hope they make another sequel. But thumbs up for the mother's role.

  • I just watched this movie today & it was actually good & now i just found out that this was a remake so i'm going to watch the original because the original is always the best..but whenever you have a long discussion after a movie that usually means it's good lol

  • This looks kind of scary :/

  • what a nice mommy...^^

  • Mehhhh ...this doesn't seem half as raw and unsettling as the original. The family should be way trashier and fucked up

  • @Antnj81

What do you think of other genre remakes like The Thing, The Fly, Dawn of the Dead, The Crazies, Toolbox Murders, 2001 Maniacs, Wizard of Gore, Cat People, Invasion of the Body Snatchers, My Bloody Valentine 3D, The Ring, Let Me In, Invaders from Mars, House on Haunted Hill. Hills Have Eyes, Last House on The Left, I Spit on Your Grave etc.?

The acting is better in this remake. Would you compare MD to Hostel or Saw?

  • @Johnlindsey289 I haven't seen all those movies. I think some remakes are great and some aren't. Ones made today happen to be garbage for the most part. Why? Because big studios are misguided to what the audience really wants. They think that "updating" means "better" and CGI is what everyone wants

Plus who gives a shit about acting? If I want superb acting, I'll go watch something off broadway. This was supposed to be about an unstable family of nutjobs. The original seems more unsettling. IMO

  • @Antnj81

You haven't seen Hostel or Saw?

  • @Johnlindsey289 I saw both, but not a fan of either. Newer horror movies, from fear of loosing the audiences' minimal amount of attention, throw you right into the action followed by more action and MORE action... leaving very little room for build and character development. Good character development is key because unless you can connect, relate, or like the character, it makes it extremely hard to care if they live or die. Otherwise you're just left with a series of one brutal kill to the next

  • @Antnj81

Do you think Hostel and Saw are a response to the soft 90's teen slasher flicks that were watered down Scream rip-offs and go into WB territory? these films were no tongue in cheek, these films were raw tough and go for the jugular, they were a reflection of 9/11 and today's war on iraq like the 70's were to vietnam. Do you think Mother's Day 1980 is on Hostel's level of torture and gore?

  • @Johnlindsey289 Not necessarily. I mean, it's not about how much or how little, it's just about HOW... Making a straight up torture flick is one thing but making a torture flick with a wide spectrum of entertaining added elements, is a totally different. I mean, Mother's Day (1980) is pretty over the top in violence and content, however there are moments with humor and there are moments heart.

  • @Johnlindsey289 To sum it up. In my opinion, old horrors were like a well balanced meal that consisted of steak, and two different sides of veggies, plus maybe a wine or ale. Newer horror movies 9 times out of 10 are like an extra value meal at a fast food restaurant. Sure there's nothing wrong with them if you judge them completely on their own, but when people try to say a McDonalds hamburger is better than a nice thick steak (as a fact rather than preference/opinion), Id have to beg to differ

  • @Johnlindsey289 The mom in this doesn't seem to be demented enough. I realize she's trying to go for "sinister" but her facial expressions make her look more quirky, like she's Ally McBeal or something

  • @Antnj81

What do you think of the remakes i mentioned even The Thing or The Fly? it's better to remake an obscure or lesser known or unpopular movie than to a classic like Elm Street or Friday The 13th or Halloween. Now i would love to see a Lifeforce remake, cash-in on the vampire craze today

  • To the people who have seen this movie... is anyone else noticing certain shots/scenes in this trailer that aren't in the movie, itself? At least not in the version I watched... for example, I have no recollection of a kid chilling on a bridge (0:05) or the scene of what looks like Addley taking a baseball bat to a guy with a gag in his mouth (1:05)

  • @gambit159t totally agree : ) just wondering that myself! : )

  • Looks more like a rehash of The Strangers or the new version of Last House on the Left than a remake of Mother's Day.

  • The house that this movie was filmed in is just down my street! So awesome! :D It was pretty exciting to watch part of it being filmed lol

  • For A Home invasion movie it don,t seem too Menacing!

  • Mother ls hott but then I love mean evil and sick women.

  • this is actually pretty good the trailer didn't really do it justice

  • @bloodyprince126 obv u havent seen it cos more than 1 villian lives for a start

  • @bloodyprince126 How sad is your life that fun for you is ruining shitty movies for people on youtube. Get some friends asshole.

  • and there has been some crap remakes but there also has been some good remakes like godzilla i spit on your grave nightmare on elm street the hitcher, cap remakes are karate kid texas chainsaw mas

  • @rad19912012

Sometimes it's better to remake an obscure, unloved, unpopular or not terribly well known film than a product like Karate Kid or something that is well known.

  • @Johnlindsey289 true its like the crow remake that there making all it will be is full of sex and drugs and gory scenes, which wont match upto the orginal because the original was brilliant and no one could top the brandon lee played the part

  • ur talkin about this film like its a proper remake when this film is so diffirent to the original in the old version 3 girls go into the woods in this one of the brothers get shot so they take him to the house were they llive not knowing that its not there house anymore and they reaslise some people are already living there asnd find some money is missing so they take them hostage and torture them till someone tells them were the money is

  • Really enjoyed this film. the trailer makes it looks shit

  • Seams terrible, maybe if the mother actress was someone else, more intimidating and dominant i would get the movie in a way serious, but like this, nope...

  • //veevr.com/videos/VRxrCymyf

    Movie link

  • Most of them get tortured

    1. One of the girls we be sent to have sex (be raped) so the husbands (The black guy and The Bolding guy) will have to fight.

    2. They break the husbands knuckles to show a message.

    3. The black women tried to escape but got caught so they poured HOT TEA on both her husbands ears making him deaf.

    4. He later shoots his wife (By accident cause he can barely see) and then he is shot by the "mother"

  • What the hell Is that?

  • OH MY GOD THIS MOVIE IS AMAZING!!!!!!

The 3 brothers are bankrobbers (1 gets shot and now needs a doc)

And the mother used to live in that house but doesn't

the brothers thought she still lived there and have been sending her money (from the bank's robbed) BUT she never got it cause she didn't live there anymore.

There is a couple living there having a party with 8 (i think) other guest.

They have to listen to whatever the mother says or they die. They try to escape they die.

    VERY INTRESTING!!

  • @bloodyprince126 It almost seems like The House on the Edge of The Park with the twist of having mother there. And it's nice to see that the Hand That Rocks the Cradle is back for blood.

  • @godzilla1077

Do you think this movie is a good example of a remake? it's sometimes better to remake a movie that wasn't terribly well known or beloved

  • @Johnlindsey289 That depends. For me the Friday the 13th remake was good but Nightmare on Elm St was unecessary. Another example is the new remake of Godzilla coming out in 2012. The 98' film was pure shit but a reboot is much needed.

  • @godzilla1077

Do you think Psycho was unnecessary too? What do you think of other horror remakes like The Thing, The Fly, Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead, Toolbox Murder, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Piranha 3D, My Bloody Valentine 3D, The Crazies, House on Haunted Hill, Halloween, The Ring, Let Me In, The Hills Have Eyes, Cat People, Last House on The Left, The Blob, Cape Fear, Invaders from Mars, Not of this Earth, Wolf Man, Willard, I Spit on your Grave etc.?

  • @Johnlindsey289 Some of them were fine remakes, others were horrible. The 90's had really bad remakes whiles the past decade was no different. Soe on your list were good remakes. Some even better than the original.

  • @godzilla1077

Do you think Psycho was a turd? the original was a flawless masterpiece and the sequels were enjoyable but a remake was a bad idea. The remake was just the same movie in color with the same dialogue that sounds stupid and outdated for a film that was suppose to be in 1998 including outdated situations when they should have updated the stuff. Any of the remakes i listed you like including 2001 Maniacs and Little Shop of Horrors?

  • Now this is one of those great examples of remakes, it follows rule number 3 on my 7 rules for remakes is number 3 means "The original wasn't terribly well known or beloved" and this movie is a good example. the Saw makers grew up with the original and paid tribute to it.

  • This was a really good movie, bravo

  • This movie was SICK!!! Although the girls on this movie were sexy as fuck! You can't really blame that dude for trying to rape them! But that is still cruel!

  • @MrDjoyahs

What do you think of Last House on The Left and I Spit on Your Grave or Maniac?

  • @Johnlindsey289 I have not seen any of those movies? what happened and what do they have to do with these movies?

  • LOOKS SHIT...

  • Just watched it. It was good. But it's really frustrating when watching those helpless stupid victims where it goes to the point you hope all of them just die.

  • That film was like the mother in law from hell I had lol

  • it's pretty gory especially when the dude get's the shotgun in the face but great movie

  • Good movie, terrible trailer.

  • when does it come out on dvd or where can i watch it??

  • @aaddbb173 Sorry to tell you this but the Mother's Day Remake is only out in the UK right now, so if you live somewhere else you will have to wait intill Holiday Season 2011.

  • If this was it's own movie, I would give it a 10/10 but it's a remake so comparing it to the original Troma's Mother's Day I have to give it a 6/10.

  • @TheTromaFan It dosnt look like there is anything to do with the origional i meen are the guys named Ike and Adley besides they all died the sequel should of always been about Queenie.

  • @Wscate It's not a sequel, it's a remake.

  • @TheTromaFan It's not really a sequel OR a remake...kind of a re-telling. Inspired-by, but not meant to be exactly like the original..

  • @NinaQueenofSpades

Do you think it's on par with The Thing or The Fly when ti re-tells the original films in different ways?

  • @TheTromaFan

Do you think it's on par with The Thing or The Fly? they were remakes that were suppose to be different than their hokey 50s b-movie counterparts and very different as there are no carrot-man in suits or guys with fake looking fly heads. Was The Thing an in-name-only remake or was as true to the original as possible? there was no vegetable man in the remake but a shapeshifter and no women like in the original 1951 movie

  • I'm still tryna figure out if the ending was her dreaming or not cause no hospital is THAT vacant at night.... you'll know what I meen when you see the movie

  • In this film, something is really attractive and pulls me up. A psycho mother (who is very talented actress), her children (who grown up exactly how she wanted) and innocent people... In fact none of them are innocent... I liked it, and I can say that this film is not a waste of time.

  • The ending was fucked up but the movie was still good.

  • Just got back from cineworld and i found this quite an intense film, leaves you wondering what's going to happen next and never fails to surprise you at each twist... (spoiler alert) found the ending quite interesting which leaves it open for a sequel... heard mixed reviews but me and my friends (all ages 18-21) enjoyed, not a must see - but a good watch

  • i will save people 2 hours of there life they will never get back this film is shit

  • This film is an intense roller coaster that will leave you on the edge of your seat, the cast are well talented along with the epic Rebecca De Mornay. What annoys me is the fact that newspaper editors written by 60 year olds in the UK are giving this film negative reviews, this film deserves credit and being noticed in the mainstream.

  • watched it and i think its rly good...

not very terrifying but a cool story

  • very very very bad horrible.

  • the film was pretty good, just saying.

  • wtf.

  • i bet the put the only good scenes in the trailer and the rest is shit.

  • @Tiklez99 hm there were no real good scenes in the trailer but nvm...watch the film!

  • @Tiklez99 you re wrong!!¨movie is great.

  • i cant wait to watch this film. wooo i'm so excited

  • Yeah this may seem low budget and cheap but seriously watch this film, ONE OF THE BEST I would really recommend it.

  • I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE THIS MOVIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! :))

  • This movie is deffs one of my fav top 10 horror movies!

And I live for horror movies!

Soo if u don't like the clip fuck off simple
