My mum and I have long discussed this song. I told her it's "our song", and I'm playing it at her funeral. She says she hates that idea, but really I know she loves it. She's always contrary, like the woman in the song! She raised me by herself, so we've had a loving but confrontational relationship. I'll never know anyone like her. She can be stubborn and cutting, but she's my mum and I'm just like her. The song is about a woman with flaws, loved by a man who's really just as flawed as she is

Great song and love the upload. One thing. In the second Verse. It's "She can lead you to love" It is written "She can lead you to live in the video"

Now here is a man who figured out a way to get inside a woman's mind. Billy Joel is not at the top of great performers by accident. He's one hell of a writer. I only wish every man would take a listen, really listen to this song. It might make their lives a lot easier........but then again, i fear most would come away more baffled before without a clue. @slayswoman Totally agree. But the truth is, they ultimately got divorced (the woman in his life whom this song was about). Someone obviously had enough. But aside from that, I will always love this song.
