@pepinozinanasshole Nope, The 1911 was designed by John Browning in 1911 and the model saw service in both world wars and was often in short supply. More than a few companies including Ithaca were contracted to produce the model 1911 .45 ACP for our troops. It was also in use in Korea and in VietNam before being replaced by the Beretta M9 in 1975.
The Springfield Armory 1911 A1 I own was made in 2002. The design remains nearly unchanged in 100 years of service! Excellent firearm!
@RossignolST the 1911 was actually designed in 1909; it's name comes from the year the US military adopted it, and the M9 (though introduced in 1976); didn't replace the 1911 until the early 80's.
@ProjectDexter Yeah man! Let her see it! I just put up some more recent video of Allison firing this Springer, her .Mossy .410, and my Mossy 590A1 12 ga, and 500A Persuader 12 ga. Ju scheck out my channel and a music video will come up!!! Your sister will dig it!
@EDSKaR Yeah, I agree. She tends to lean back some, but whats cool is I have seen her correct herself without me saying anything! Good point on pulling the slide back, I hadnt thought to tell her that!
@EDSKaR Yep! By the end of the day, she was leaning forward and into the recoil and had no problems. She made a lot of progress very quickly! I have another video on my channel called "Just Shooting", the very beginning is me, but the rest of it is her shooting! She was picking targets and hitting what she called! Shes very natural handling firearms.
good for her :)

Good technique, good stance, of course there is room for improvement, but very well done.
It can be easier to "power rack" rather than to push down the slide lock, try pulling back on the slide to release the lock.

@RossignolST A lot of novice shooters lean back, (I see it all the time) because they are scared of the gun, or the recoil (or both).
We pros know that leaning forward into the gun transfers the energy into the ground, rather than knocking you over :P.
