Wow I agree with others comments on this video being the best quality I've ever seen of this fight and the fact the fight was so old and so many years ago and to be able to see it on this quality is truly amazing how clear it looks. Wow,
You'd never see a fight like this today. The ref would have stopped it after the second knock-down. I bet this ref was told to "give the white guy every possible chance, even if it kills him" by the powers-that-be.

@cableaddict Fights for a championship have never been stopped after 2 knockdowns. Dempsey was white. Dempsey is fast, in terrific condition and it doesn't look like Willard has any defense whatsoever. That is what is going on in the ring here.

I have always felt that it was a shame that Willard didn't have a trainer that could have taught him to fight in a manner similar to Larry Holmes. That monster reach should have been put to better use.

Sure thing... as you can see theres a big watermark in the middle so its pointless to download for a highlightreel or something
but yea this is definitely more detailed then any other copy of the fight
