  • Awwww

  • Gus is so cute. I wish I had a pig like that

  • Cute love piggies :) Wish mine purred that much.

  • Oh Gus, you make me giggle. This video cracks me up.

  • I use to be a fat piggy till I took an arrow to the knee.

  • GET AWAY FROM YOU ITS GOING TO ATTACK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • /watch?v=yRHGBSFSN6g

  • lmao, people - this is purring. no birring. get your facts right ;)

  • i agree that he is PURRING because when gp's purr their whole body vibrates, when their mad, its more of their mouth that vibrates because that sound comes from their teeth(the mad one..)

  • okay look everyone this is really ticking me off----- she already said its not iceburg lettuce, and if lettuce is so bad for the pigs, why are they still alive and well??? and that sound gus is making is DEFINATELY purring. ive grown up with guinea pigs and know the sounds, and plus, why in the world would the cutie pie be scared? hes cuddling with his mommy :) i luv ur vids!!!!!!! <3

  • @soldier16711 i agree with you ive grown up with Guineapigs and i know their behaviour and sounds very well but i will disagree and say that if you give guinea pigs too much lettuce they may have runny poos or diarrhea xD

  • @1march1998 Yes, it's true...too much of any lettuce will definitely do that. However my pig is now 6 years old, and he always gets fresh veggies every day, which includes romaine lettuce or other LEAFY vegetable, along with unlimited hay and pellets. He lives in a large custom Cube and Coroplast habitat so he gets plenty of exercise to keep his body healthy.

However, I do not agree that he is purring. That is a sound only made when you are buggin them.

  • this brings back memories of my little fatties <3

  • That's the bad purring sound... It actually means he's scared/mad. There's a different kind of purring that means guinea pigs are relaxed. If you don't believe me try this: go near your guinea pig while it's relaxed and clap your hands loudly. The piggy will make the same sound it's making in the video because the clapping will scare it ;)

  • @Calicocat38 I disagree, ICEBURG LETTUCE is bad for piggies and rabbits. :)

  • What do you feed your Guinea Pigs with? I might get one when I get older and I really want to know what to feed it with. (:

  • My guinea pig Rosie rumbles or purrs when she eats lettuce. Believe me! She is a fat piggy!

  • LISTEN HE'S NOT ANGRY! INFACT HE IS DEFINITELY PURRING!!! THERE IS A HUGY DEFERENCE

ps. its so cute the way you talk to him, i do the same hehe

  • my friends guinea pig does this i think it means you are tickling them!!!! hahaha

  • i think hes rumbling

  • i want one OMG!!!!! im begging my parents lol if they say no im buying it myself i got 1k in the bank

  • what type of lettuce do you feed them?

  • AWwwhhh!!! My guinea pig does that too when I stroke his back! My piggy looks ALOT like yours! thanks:D

  • I really hope thats not iceburg lettuce DONT FEED THEM ICEBURG LETTUCE! It can make them really sick! If its not, alright I am just making sure. :)

  • @ImCrAzyFoROreOs Yes I know, I never feed them iceberg. I talk about it in my other videos.

  • n'wahh, i really think your guinea pigs are soo good looked after and you put so many helpfull videos on,:-D

  • I don't see why some say the birring means their upset mine always did that when i gave them one of their fave snakes a Grahame cracker i know when Vanilla get upset he bites

  • @muttly20082 oops typo not snake but snack

  • @piggiepigpigs sorry i diddnt know that you could get different types of lettuce for guinea pigs. i only knew about the iceberg lettuce, so i thought you were feeding the guinea pig iceberg lettuce. im so sorry. i love your guinea pigs.

  • So cute! My guinea pig was just like this when he was happy & content. You're definitely making him happy.

  • @Hellokittycool1 First of all I find this comment RUDE. secondly, do your research. I think you will find that iceberg lettuce should be avoided. Most other lettuces are nutritionally balanced and are absolutely FINE to give to guinea pigs. Thirdly, I don't take advise from people like you. Please leave your sarcastic comments elsewhere.

  • @Hellokittycool1 yes they are not iceberg lettus but any other type

  • @Hellokittycool1 retard they can have lettuce

  • lower purring means it's angry or doesn't like it. normal purring means it's relaxed, enjoys it!

  • First, I love your videos! Second, A lot of guinea pigs don't like their rears touched or stroked. Mine makes that puring sound and shakes when I stroke his lower back and he also does it when I make a loud noise that scares him. There is a lot of misconception as to weather it means they like it or they don't like it - I think it means the latter.

  • I love how you talk with your Guinea Pigs I should do that with mine. You are very good with yours.

  • @krp7896 You are correct. That fact that he is vibrating while making that noise means he is angry or scared. My pig will do that noise and shake/vibrate if I amke a clicking noise. I think it is called birring.

  • @krp7896 I disagree. I'm certain it's purring. He makes a different noise completely when he's upset or rumblestrutting.

  • @Piggiepigpigs just check the wikipedia page for guinea pigs. there is a very clear recording of both the happy purr sound and the annoyed rumbling sound. this sounds like the rumbling to me. and guinea pigs don't usually like their fur being petted the wrong way or being disturbed while they eat.

  • @Piggiepigpigs i have two guinea pigs one brown and one grey white and when i take my hand on him and stroke backwards then he purrs sorry if stroke means something else

  • AWWWWWW sooo cutee!!!! I was wondering if you cut your guinea pigs nails or if you take the out and do it!! Thanks

  • how do i bond with two guinea pigs. one of them likes to eat the lettuce when i give it to her but the other runs alot and im nervous cause whenever i walk past the cage they get scared and run into the igloo

  • No he is birring which means he's angry coz mine does that and he sticks his hair up and vibrates

  • @randomvideomaker23 No he is not Birring - he is definetley purring. I know my piggies. I've seen them fight enough to know when they are not happy.

  • @Piggiepigpigs check wikipedia, this is rumbling. It's not purring.

  • @randomvideomaker23 birrring is a bit different than purring, this is purring (lots of animals make similar noises...they way you can tell the arnt the same is their body language) this is a happy piggy:)

  • So cute, mii Guinea Pigs do that when i scratch his side, he does tha whole leg movement that a dog does when yew scratch his belly, l0l mii Guineas have dog instincts :)

  • LOL!!! Your piggy is cute, my two piggies do the same thing, happy & content!! It's cute when they vibrate too, peace!!

  • hope they get along soon i wish they can be together poor Gus.
