  • @junniesalud08

I'm a high school student and I have to say... I'd be pretty entertained with this game [: but not everyone is as willing to be silly like I am. But try it and see!

  • these kids are cute!

  • What school is this? it seems REALLY GOOD! or is it not a school?

  • This was my favorite game as a 4 year old!

  • So cute these kids!! I loved

very nice... they are very intelligent and cute..XD

  • I....never played this game. D: This is insane, I have missed out. XD

  • My kids love this song! I teach preschoolers, and we use "couldn't be". I have to say though, these kids are clever. They always leave it so the teacher stole the cookie *whistles innocently*

  • Thanks! We use "Not me" to make the song a little simpler and more useful for EFL students. "Not me" is useful in a variety of situations (Who took my pencil? Who's hungry? Who wants to take a break?, etc.), so we wanted to use this song to teach that language. When we introduce the game, the teacher always "steals" the cookie first so he/she can control the game a little and make sure everyone understands.. After that, the students choose. Have fun!

  • Oh goodness, that came out wrong lol..we don't use a cookie or anything, we just do the whole "Jonah stole the cookie", "Katie stole the cookie" thing, and my kids like to blame eachother before eventually I'm the only one left. Logic dictates that Miss Deanna stole the cookie...shame on me =)

  • @irishcristianchick my mom uses "couldn.t be" when she uses this song in her pre scool class

  • Hi devon, i´m spanish teacher, i´m 30 years, i-d like you tell me where i get more super simple songs. i lije so much and i could teach my pupils these songs.

i hope you answer me. than you.

  • Thanks for sharing this. The game makes sense now! (I teach EFL and the game isn't really well-known in my culture).

  • Glad we could help!

  • Memories! :D In norwegian 4H-arrangements we use this song a lot (in norwegian ofc). We can go on for hours, and the kids love it!

This is how it goes in norwegian.

" Hvem har tatt kaker ifra kakeboksen min?

-Name- har tatt kaker ifra kakeboksen min!

    :Hvem jeg?

    Ja du!

    :Ånei!"

  • Oh wow, it's so great to see a guy teaching young children. Male pre-school and kindergarten teachers are so rare! Thanks for the song

  • The day of a primary teacher can be so embarrasing! but thanks, for this. this guy is so good! I tried this and it works! Won't recommend it though for lessons of 30 in open plan rooms without doors. they get too excited, but they love it!

  • cool bro! you are a real big help to my daily struggles with my class!

  • I miss playing this song in preschool.. but I'm in high school now... =(

I still play it with my friends though. lol Even though we look like idiots!

  • I've already done that and it worked really well !

They learned, they had a lot of fun. I mean, we all had fun !

    Thanks super simple songs

  • omg i luv this song!!!!!!

  • Was this an ESL class? Because I notice your students are all of asian descent.

  • its fun untill a kid admits he took it

  • Good point! One way to deal with those situations is to place a card, face down, in front of each student. One card has a picture of a cookie on it. The rest of the cards say "Not me!" on them. Now nobody, not even the person with the cookie, knows who has the cookie. No looking until someone calls your name! You can print out cards for this game at the Super Simple Songs website.

  • Comment removed

  • Thank you, great ideas, I already subscribe, I need it, i am in a remote town in Mexico, teaching English, thanks again!

  • lol. That was cute. What happens when a real cookie gets involved? ^.^

  • Probably it would get eaten by the person who "took" it and the other kids would get jealous if they never have "taken" the cookie because they were never chosen to have "taken" it by other kids if no other rules are set.

  • kinda spazzy but SUPA KAWAII!!!!!!!!

  • awsome. i think your videos are the cutest in youtube.

im not 5 years old girl but still enjoy it like a 5 years old kid!

i enjoy these videos. japanese kids are kawaii

  • You guys rule!

  • Hiding the cookie near someone is a REALLY good idea. Yesterday I played that game with my daughter and her 3 friends. They loved that game and enjoyed it so much, so we sang that song many times. Thanks a lot^^

  • Great! Glad to hear you are enjoying it. It's a fun game.

  • Amazing and educational video GUYS!!! I love to see how much fun your kids are having while they are singing the song!!!!!I will challenge my 4 yrs old... THey can "kill" for a cookie!! LOL LOL Congratulations!

  • Thanks! Once you learn the rhythm and the kids understand the game, you can change "cookie from the cookie jar" to "pencil from the pencil case" or "apple from the apple tree". Whatever you like!
