I got this bug... I wasn't enough lvl for the Vile's quest and I just started the quest (You have to be lvl bla bla bla) Then I got the Umbra (Didn't know it was in the quest) and the quest uploaded and I got the quest completed xD

When it said "you have not followed the correct path Hermaeus Mora demands" or somethin like that.. i killed EVERYONE at the shrine... (meaning the three followers. Two dark elfs and this random dude...)

Does the killing affect this quest?????

Yes you can keep Umbra. As long the quest from Clavicus Vile (the one in which you get Umbra) is completed, you will be able to do this quest here. That means you have to go back to the shrine of Clavicus Vile and tell him your decision.

Requirments to start this quest:

Have Collected all of the other daedric artifacts.

Must have at least STARTED Martin Septim's Quest: Blood of the Daedra (This is a quest within the main quest, advance through the main quest until you get this quest).

I've done 14 deadric shrines and I still can't do this one, It tells me I haven't walked the path for hermaeus mora. Can someone please help me. I haven't done anything of the main quest, could that be it? Also i'm at level 97.

ok i checked all the shrines again to see if i did them and i did i guess the game just glitched up on me because it did the same thing on one of the fighters guild quests

The problem might be that you failed one of the quests; either Malacath's or Namira's. If you do not complete them correctly you can never start his quest. Hope this helps :)

Thanks but I just finished all the deadric quest. Turns out you have to do some of the main quest to do the last deadric quest. Now im trying to find out how to duplicate the book.

You have to complete Martin's mission that makes you give him a deadric artifact in the Main Quest.

i cant get argonian, red guard, and breton souls how come it just does not update the quest and capture the souls

you just have to use the spell then kill them. try reloading a save (probably to late considering you said this a month ago)

You must complete ALL daedric quests and atleast have started "blood of the daedra" main quest.
