@MissKatebush Boom Gaspar is Pearl Jam's keyboardist. Eddie met him in 2000 in Hawii and at some point they wrote the song "Love Boat Captain" together. He began touring with them following Riot Act and has been on the road with them ever since.
I believe the man in the church (unless you are referring to Boom) identifies himself as the local music school director and organ master.

Love love love the backstage encore footage . . . . nice to see what they do between sets, cooling off, drinking, smoking (!), picking/changing the encore setlist on the fly.....
