This movie was awful. The entire movie was just a way to capitalize on the DB success. The characters origins are uninspired and the actors performance's were just week. Piccolo's design as well as the appearance of the entire cast look just crappy. If you want to see decent DB movie then might I suggest watching many of the animated movies that were already a success.

one point to make is this is a US version not a Japanese version
two this is DragonBall NOT DragonBallZ of which Vegeta is first introduced
if they were sticking to canon then the cast would have been MUCH younger
