It wa smade to TRAIN REAL WORLD DRIVERS that was thier main focus then they decided to give it to the public and just made it to compliment online not offline, as you know we need to have our community grow not shrink.
Why isnt the new leverage compatible with XP 64? I guess my CD which was purchased a year ago and compatible before the patch is now a great drink holder....
Update after a week of owning: Netcode is probably the best I've ever seen. Usually I can't play games over my mobile broadband sprint usb device... not only could I play arca with it, I never saw one hint of lag. Also the small degree of wheel rotation issue is only on a select few tracks... I hadn't tested enough tracks. Most of the tracks I have to crank the wheel like there is no tomorrow. Awesome. Dega is one where I don't have to turn the wheel more than and inch tho.
Just got the digital download version yesterday.... the car models, sound, interior cockpits are really well done. The road course is fun. Overall fun game. They need to pretty up the road surface a little... and do something with the wheel rotation, it seems at some OVAL tracks I only have to move the wheel an inch in either direction to make the turn??? Why need a wide rotational wheel if you only turn it 5 degrees???. I think I saw an AI player named S. Cole. ;)!!!
While it certainly takes a great setup to work on old tires, it seems extremely hard to overdrive. I mean... guys who notoriously use their stuff up in NR2003 still overdrive their corners and bone their line, slide all over the track, but have no real fall-off or effect because of it.
The only problem I see... is on the cockpit view... when you are at full left in the middle of the turn - why does the display wheel only turn slightly left. In real stock car you would be cranked all the way to the right.
It's PC only. It's made by a rusian team and the FFB is really good. I never seen an off-road sim that shows sand moving away from the tires and leaving such tires tracks. :)
great review.. but im not into oval sims... did you guys do a review of LFS? i have rFactor, GT5p, GTR2, race 07, and waiting for that GTR expansion pack
I wonder how is LFS, i hear it has one of best physics for PC games.

wow no single player career???
ade2007ade 2 years ago
Yea because it's not a console game. It's a true sim. Nothing like NFS or anything like that, them aren't sim racers.. arca is a true sim.
DipperOnTheRun 2 years ago
So true sims shouldn't have career mods? :|
ade2007ade 2 years ago
No because career mode isn't apart of sim racing. Sims are made for strictly racing, no careers.
DipperOnTheRun 2 years ago
What the hell? so what do drivers do in career? dance? :|

I tried it, but I thought the driving felt a bit too "floaty" like u slide on ice or something

Yes, there is a spotter, and a third party addon spotter to enhance the experience more.

bibsywanks24 2 years ago
Should be either
simracingtonight 2 years ago

ie the amount of rotation is 11 o'clock to 1... needs to be 9 to 1.

Great show guys! Hardcore sim racers realy need a broadcast like this to keep up to date in this super fast growing e-sport!
Ps, did u guys review UAZ Racing 4x4 ?
It's a realy sweet mud bashing sim :)
Take care, and keep on LFSing !!

Well i own LFS and its a great sim, physics are good and take some getting used but once you do it is very enjoyable.
Eagle021001 3 years ago
I honestly think that LFS, Arca and GTR2 all have the best physics to date.. LFS has a really great feel to it, no doubt.. just lacks real tracks.
