why does everyone question if its 1/4 or 1/8th clearly its not quarter mile because most superbikes only run 9 seconds in 1/4mile on a perfect run (no wheelie no letting off) the go kart was all over lost time off the start with a wheelie at least half a second zig zagging back and forth down the strip. not to mention he hit the rev limiter in almost every gear while spinning. Not hard to figure out its 1/8th mile

if it had about 1.5 seconds to the 60 foot thats about a 12 second run in the quarter. but take in consideration that he had to let off because of the wheelie so if he was able to keep his foot in it it would have been a very fast pass, but this looks to me to be a 1/8 th of a mile strip. i willl post a video of my dads car it hits about 1.27 to 1.30 sixty foots.

And This hit's rev limiter in 5th gear. Which probably means he is doing about 160kmh. You can't run 1/4 mile with a 100mph trap speed unless your in a top fuel dragster with a .5 second 60 foot time. This Kart would probably do a 1/4 mile in 12 seconds

@madrx2 Ok,... If you look at the Engine on the Kart you will see that's a bigbore motorcycle engine. Look at the size of it, listen to it. It will be running the standard bike gear box although the final drive maybe be lower. Litre bikes will pull 120 - 130kph in first gear and in fifth gear pull around 280+kph. Next look at the 60ft marker past the centre wall and then the 2nd one half way down the track. that is the 1/8th mile marker. The timing lights are placed 1/4 mile mark.

Are you telling me that this kart is only running a time a junior dragster eg Kid dragster with small 2 stroke engine or 250cc 4 can almost do?.. look at the top end speed.. yeah it may not be an 8.0sec pass but it's doing more than 100 mph i assure you!! A KT100 weighs 70kgs. this is heavier but the power to weight ratio is more than enough to run an 8 sec pass with traction.

Those markers that it passes half way are the 330Ft markers,In 1/8th the final 660ft,. If it was a 1/4 mile it would also have 1000ft markers and The finish-line markers.
