Boring is a completely subjective opinion. If all you listen to is pop and commerical shit then i agree completely. However guthrie could hardly be seen to be melodically or rhythmically boring, he mixes up the note values all the time going from holding one note for about 5 seconds to 16th note triplets. Melodically he is often emotional, and uses all sorts of odd note choices.

That's why saying he is boring is a personal opinion which really does need to be made knownon his vid
