I don't think this animal was killed? But if he was, I hope who's ever decision it was to kill this majestic animal, I hope this person(s) dies a slow death from either colon cancer and gets hit by a drunk driver. Some of you are right; the karma will come back to get these people.
What else would you expect from a bunch of ignorant rednecks from Montana?! I'm not surprised at all. It makes me sick that such ignorance exsists in our country.
@Unphazed1337 Yeah its always a redneck isnt it. White rednecks they are the focus of all things negative, yet they have consitently died for our country (in wars for your freedoom) more than any other ethnic group by such a vast percentage that it isnt even close .unbelieveable have you taken a look at ethnic criminal percentages of people in prison for violent crime per ethnic percentage of the population. Would i be a bigot to bring out those stats no i would in your mind be a redneck 4 sure.
@samhobson30 theres a reason why there are more white rednecks in the military, than ethnic groups. Ironically most people in the military also make up the the majority of racists and homophobes in our country.. The military always has appealed more towards the conservative republicans.. just the way it is. Im white as well, so no need to spit ethnic criminal statistics at me
Okay its vstarting to make me mad that fish in Game would rather euthinize an animal instead od saving. Four years ago where i live we had the large Ceder fires a young mountain lion wondered onto a golf course and began to food from the stupid gulfers, and so they shot it instead of taking it to a sanctuary it was so young it still had its spots it had to be only six months old.
You are right about the video not saying anything about the killing. That is what I was so angry about, the fact that they lied. Worse, Eric knew full well what the "new" policy was regarding lions. I agree, they are abundant, and a danger in town, which is why I called, remember, this was two houses away from my own, and I have a young boy. I've done my share of hunting, and have no issues with the killing - it's the lying and the senselessness of it, when there was a potential home for it.
@urnsbay Police killing animals is the new norm. In Calif. (where I live) they shot a black bear out of a tree for no good reason last year. And cops in Oakland shot a deer same way. It's mind boggling, it really is.
Well excuse me. From watching your video it doesn't say anything about the lion being killed. Do you have a link to the paper that you wrote the article in. I find it interesting that they would do such a thing. We have an excess of mountain lions in the area though, and it is a good thing that that lion did not decide to bounce on a little child playing in the neighborhood.
Excuse me, but I shot the video, and the photos, and wrote the article that was in the local paper, and yes, they did kill it. They told us at the time of the "rescue" that they were going to relocate it up the North Fork - then we found a few days later that there was a change, and they were going to send it to a zoo - then we found out that they had put it down. Mt FW&G no longer relocates mountain lions, nor will they adopt them out to non-ZOO certified facilities.
how the hell would these people feel if they were shot and killed just like that puma (cougar-mountain lion?what a bunch of ignorant dull minded individuals. They could've easily tranquilzed the cat tranported it to a safe location and released it.Ediots.
how was the animal killed? Im pretty sure they tranquilzed and relocated the animal. The dude was checking the cougars heartbeat...why would he do that and then put it in a cage if it was dead?
This is absolutely unforgivable. We have taken away habitat and then murdered this majestic creature. Accrediteed sanctuaries offered to take him...the Oregon authorities apparently prefer to haver murdered him. INEXCUSABLE!
It is an absolute disgrace that this animal was killed. We humans first rob them of their homes, then rob them of their lives. If he could not be released into a suitable habitat, he at least deserved to be sent to an accredited sanctuary. Such arrogance and cruelty will come back to haunt us some day.

@NoLongerFooled The bear was a nuisance, the deer I don't know.
mtnd00 9 months ago
@mtnd00 The bear was just sitting there, doing nothing. Animal control was on the way.
But the trigger-happy kops couldn't wait for them to show up.
After word got out, the entire community was outraged about it.
