@yautjas Tuomas made Nightwish. He's the one who started Nightwish, he is the leader of Nightwish, and do you know how many songs he's written for Nightwish for the seven albums that they have? ALL of them. He wrote every single song for all seven of Nightwish's albums. What did Tarja do? Sing the lyrics that Tuomas wrote. Tuomas IS Nightwish, Tarja could never in a million lifetimes live up to him.

@xShiverRainx tarja was the soul of nightwish! annette is a pop singer and does not fit in. as for tuomas being more then tarja, ha!!! anyone can write songs but its the singer that gives those songs life. and tarja was the unique voice that made the band. tarja is doing very well without nightwish and at least half of her solo songs are better then all of the new night wish ones. nightwish is a shell of what they were and not as popular as they were with tarja. tarja owns tuomas.

@olantern Yes, I know she is a classical singer, and I'm sorry but I do not like her voice. She was too operatic and her accent was too thick. It just threw everything off for me. I only like one song that she did with them. I like Annette much better. And that's not true, have you HEARD their song Last of the Wilds? It's an instrumental song and it's absolutely amazing. No singer at all. Tarja is not worth it anyway. They didn't want her anymore because she became all about money.

@xShiverRainx her new band is just fine and shes just as popular as ever. not to mention her classical singing and appearances with other popular singers like scorpions and doro etc. etc. she even met the queen. so you be a fan of nightwish the shell. they lost many fans cause of tarja and it was plain to see on the nightwish site when they let her go. as well as on here and tarja's site. tarja has a very unique voice for rock, metal etc. and cannot be replaced.

@xShiverRainx Tarja and Annette are awesome. They are both nice and have shown excellent character. Hating Annette is unfounded. Toumas is a genius composer and instrumentalist. In another age he would be famous. But he has not shown good character. He could have separated with Tarja with a simple "creative differences". He has done it before. But he had to make personal matters public. I don't care what was going on, there's nothing worse than a badmouth.

@xShiverRainx Acutally I do not disagree with you but, Emppu and Marco have helped write some of the songs. Tuomas is a big part in Nightwish, but We have to take Emppu and Jukka because they are original members also. My conclusion is that all members are equally important. I do agree with you 100% and I do like your comment, its just I always put my 5 sense into anything when there is a Nightwish comment dealing with the members. Have a nice day! ^_^.

Amen. Seems like you can't go to a Nightwish video without someone saying "I miss Tarja" or "Nightwish isn't the same without Tarja". Tarja this. Tarja that. Shut the fuck up already! Tarja is GONE! Tarja was just a singer and if people want to hear her she still sings so they can still hear her. nightwish is still a good band with their new singer and no they're not the same they have changed their style with the new singer but they're still great. and bands change styles all the time because like everyone they like to try something new every once in awhile otherwise it just gets boring.

Take it from a music major: it just so happened that when Tarja got kicked out, Nightwish's musicality and originality shot through the roof. They became closer to what Tuomas always wanted the band to be, for sure. Seeing as it is HIS band (he is a founding member and he does almost all of the songwriting) I'd say that Nightwish is alive and kicking old Nightwish's ass.
