why are you guys starting a "verbal war" over this? as far as I can tell, ALL of the performers have great fun in what they're doing, identify themselves with the song/the music, improvise all along as real musicians do and, last not least, make the audience go for it! isn't that what real "good music" is all about? and the romanian audience isn't surely less demanding than any other audience in the world...
Aura is a great singer! She's very skilled and I think that we shouldn't be considered more poor or less talented just because we are Romanians... If Aura had been born in USA you all would have seen her a legend... but that is it... These territorial prejudices...
mediocre?? maybe you should watch the video again... the only thing that is mediocre is the piano playing. moculescu is not "interesting" at all. What were you thinking of when you said "mediocre singing", Warthe5? Aura sings very natural... her voice IS of high international level, atested by the jazz legend Duke Ellington. are you a specialist? did you graduated from a music school or university? If yes, I think you should give strong arguments for your opinion.

And one more, young man, I think the piano player has a LOT more to say than the really bad sax player, who doesn't sound like jazz and isn't playing a note of real jazz, and is just trying to show off. But it takes time and a lot of experience to understand and speak the jazz language. Enjoy the journey, if you want to.

Mediocre playing(especially the sax), mediocre singing, but I guess it's ok for romanian people. But still mediocre. But there's hope, there will probably be jazz schools in the future in Romania and the playing level will soon get better, I'm pretty sure of that.

Hey everyone ! aura is ok , she was a good singer and definetely from Romania she was the best jazzy singer .But don't over react ...she never was and she is not at some very very high international level . She was ok to represant Romania, that's all !
mai gheorghe, ca si roman n-ar trebui sa postezi asa ceva. asta sa judece strainii. tu ar trebui sa fi mandru ca noi romanii avem o asemenea voce. si vorbeste despre ea la prezent pentru ca traieste inca si canta. ar trebui sa vezi lista de artisti cu care a colaborat. daca aia au recunoscut-o ca un mare talent atunci si noi trebuie sa o recunoastem, ca doar n-om fi noi mai priceputi in jazz decat Duke Ellington spre exemplu...
mai gheo, ii fi vreun jazzman care are ceva de spus in muzica de dai si tu cu ok-ul. A fost greu de acceptat de romani Aura Urziceanu de si-a scos discurile in canada, poate mai multe decat ani ai tu. Nu stiu cati artisti romani are atatea discuri scoase in strainatate, cred ca nici unul. Daca ea nu a fost de nivel international atunci iti recomand niste discuri cu manele. Distractie placuta.

Mediocre playing(especially the sax), mediocre singing, but I guess it's ok for romanian people. But still mediocre. But there's hope, there will probably be jazz schools in the future in Romania and the playing level will soon get better, I'm pretty sure of that.
