Awesome cycle. I just bought an old SR250 in pieces for 300 bux to practice on and I was looking for ideas and I came across this. Very nice bike sir.
Killer job and one I hope to get going on this winter after getting it running. It is close and just received a cylinder head that isn't toasted on the exhaust side. I am in Seattle and would love to ride out this summer and check out your ride.
Hey, I posted a a video of my lil SR250 up on here.. check it out when you get a chance! The wiring is still a mess on it because I just loosely did it last night to make sure it was done right. Also got a leaky petcock right now so I had a rag wrapped around it.. but she is just about done! Let me know what you think!
Love that bobber look. Nice job. I also used a front tire on the rear of my bike. Looking forward to seeing the next video of your bike going down the road.
thanks for your positive comments. I'll get that video shot as soon as the mud gets out of my driveway. I see you're in the northwest also, still a bunch of snow here in Omak.
Hey where did you get the whitewall tire? and I'm gussing you went about 2 sizes larger because that's about all that fits until the chain starts hitting the rubber..
that's a Dunlop D402F or MT90B16 it was a stock front tire off a Harley Rosd King. Some yuppie replaced both tires then through them on top of a dumpster at Schucks Auto, the rear was wore smooth but the d402f or front tire was like new. It now turns opposite direction it was intended to go, but it seems to handle ok!
I think it's the TT185 that has the same engine but no electric starter instead a kicker!. Meaning you could add a kicker pedal to that easily but will lose the starter of course. Check it out! and search yahoo groups for SR250 - About 200 members!
