This is the song they used in Talkartoon no. 7 "Dizzy Dishes" when they modeled Betty Boop's prototype after Helen Kane. I can understand the lawsuit, but still, Helen Kane's character (voice, appearance, and emotion) was genius and I don't think Betty Boop could survive without it. I honestly like Betty Boop regardless, but Helen Kane is great :)

I was told that She study and knew everyones in the shows act perfitly she only started the the silly little naughty girl act to get work and a pay check some say the she did over 80% of the speak over work for the Betty Boop Cartoons under contract but she wanted a real acting 'work' in the movies.

Poor Helen Kane, everyone copied her and she fell into obscurity like so many from that time.  She actually sued the Betty Boop folks because they made Betty look and sound just like her without giving her any credit, she lost. Boo.

In all these discussions of all the actresses who played this type, I'm surprised that I have to be the first one to mention the one who arguably was the most successful. The one who played this type in vaudeville as well as film, radio and television. The woman whose voice was so comical that her comedian partner turned straight man so she could get the laughs, I'm referring of course to Gracie Allen.
