very beautiful. I bought your makin whoopie and mitch and abby..... is there any chance you could do a transcription of the part in the fabulous baker boys where jack is by himself playing the slow ballad. He also plays the same tune in a trio later in the movie at Henry's jazz club. I got the first few chords but im totally lost after that. its also a beautiful tune.

hi just take a dom 7th chord , take the scale (mix) say G7 and then take the notes GBE in RH and run up and down the scale, and play with the chromatics of that, sorry for the sleepy answer, long day...!

This is truly great - you have the Dave touch! I'm sorry to read from another poster that the score's no longer available on Ebay... is there any other way to get it? I've searched for Fab Baker Boys transcriptions for years, and this is the closest I've come... I don't suppose you've managed to transcribe the scene where Jack is playing piano to himself at the guy's jazz bar? The scene where the owner says, 'I got Tuesdays and Thursdays open...'? I think I've got the right bit - lovely music.

ya i love grusin brothers playing! ok ya i still have my ebay shop, just follow the link and you will see it, i have some of my own arrangements there too, as for the "tuesdays/thursdays" piece, ya i love that too, i have played it only by ear, messing around, but i havnt actually sat down and transcribed it with a microscope, maybe i will soon, i hope to have some more vids soon,

Fabulous, but where is Michelle Pfeiffer? Loved that movie and your version is very close to Dave Grusin's...but it's still too bad you couldn't get Michelle Pfeiffer to slither around on your piano although not much room on your electronic substitute.
