However i think you nee to look at what OUR forces do. Our tier one operatives the 707th special missions battalion have cross trained with you DEVGRU and SFODD forces as wel as the ELITE Spetsnaz Alpha and SAS. Cross training only happes when the two armed forces believe they can learn something from eachother.

This show is in no way realistic. It is a series where they stack up statistics and what if's to see who would win a battle on paper. It's flawed from the beginning. These aren't even real fucking tactics. If you were going to assault a building and you see multiple encom's behind cover, are you going to snipe one out and alert everyone to your presence? No because that's fucking stupid and a great way to get killed. But this is a TV show. Get real people, it's a modern day Western.
I don't think the US Army Rangers even really won this one. It was too close to a draw. If any of the Korean Special Force's weapons were even 1% more effective, they would have been the victor.

You can't apply reality to this show. It's never more than a 5-on-5 fight, because a between N. Korea and the U.S. isn't going to be decided by, say, hand-to-hand combat. If you apply reality to the situations, Sun Tzu would have totally outnumbered Vlad, the Mongols would outnumbered the Comanches, etc.

The problem with the US is its inability to accept any casualties at all, not its ability to inflict them (we tend to give up on a war if hit hard enough). That would be a big problem when facing a country that has a very large military like North Korea.

You're right, but times have changed. This is now a globalized area and so long as North Korea doesn't use nukes, the U.S cannot use nukes, unless they want to lose every Asian ally(making South Korea an enemy of the U.S, Japan is a different case) and start WW3. The US Army IS an elite force that HAS proven themselves in countless engagements. The reports you see regarding prisoner rape or civilian casualties are unforseen problems that occur in countless other forces across the world. Russia during the second world war, The Vietnamese Peoples Army during the Tet Offensive, THE CRUSADES even.
American Forces operate on strict ROE that minimize civilian casualties with incredibly harsh punishment if breached.

@n2bracing2 i cant agree my friend is in infantry and his training was 2 months for basic and 6 months for standard and then he had to take a shitload of extra training because he wanted to specialize as a combat engineer they had to teach him everything from EOD to how to drive a LAV because a Humvee is considered inadequate for infantry transport in Canada since a 7.62 round has a chance to penetrate it. and im also joining up once i graduate i have the papers filled out already though.

This show is in no way realistic. It is a series where they stack up statistics and what if's to see who would win a battle on paper. It's flawed from the beginning. These aren't even real fucking tactics. If you were going to assault a building and you see multiple encom's behind cover, are you going to snipe one out and alert everyone to your presence? No because that's fucking stupid and a great way to get killed. But this is a TV show. Get real people, it's a modern day Western.

I don't think the US Army Rangers even really won this one. It was too close to a draw. If any of the Korean Special Force's weapons were even 1% more effective, they would have been the victor.

@fleskfan100 well if youve noticed in nearly every deadliest warrior matchup scenario, its always close, in reality north korea would attack by the hundred thousands, in which despite the hundreds or thousands of troops stationed at the DMZ they would run out of ammo and will not be able to stop the north koreans even when the mines that were planted eliminates half the attacking force

You can't apply reality to this show. It's never more than a 5-on-5 fight, because a between N. Korea and the U.S. isn't going to be decided by, say, hand-to-hand combat. If you apply reality to the situations, Sun Tzu would have totally outnumbered Vlad, the Mongols would outnumbered the Comanches, etc.

You're right, but times have changed. This is now a globalized area and so long as North Korea doesn't use nukes, the U.S cannot use nukes, unless they want to lose every Asian ally(making South Korea an enemy of the U.S, Japan is a different case) and start WW3. I never said that North Korea would win, just that America would be having a pretty bad day. NATO is one of the reasons why neither side budges. U.S doesn't want damage and Kim Jong Ill wants to keep their country.

The US Army IS an elite force that HAS proven themselves in countless engagements. The reports you see regarding prisoner rape or civilian casualties are unforseen problems that occur in countless other forces across the world. Russia during the second world war, The Vietnamese Peoples Army during the Tet Offensive, THE CRUSADES even.
American Forces operate on strict ROE that minimize civilian casualties with incredibly harsh punishment if breached.
They ARE elite. YOU are ignorant.

Haiti, for instance? how many american military rapes happened there? oh none? Hurricane Katrina? Indonesian Tsunami? Also light infantry and small SOF teams are extremely different! in all honesty you can't really compare these two. a better pair up would be SEAL's, SAS, 1st SFOD-A or D. @n2bracing2 i cant agree my friend is in infantry and his training was 2 months for basic and 6 months for standard and then he had to take a shitload of extra training because he wanted to specialize as a combat engineer they had to teach him everything from EOD to how to drive a LAV because a Humvee is considered inadequate for infantry transport in Canada since a 7.62 round has a chance to penetrate it. and im also joining up once i graduate i have the papers filled out already though.
