Let's assume for a second that Israel has a legitimate right to bomb Gaza (which they don't). Let's also assume for now that every single adult (man or woman) in Gaza is HAMAS (which again is nowhere near true).
About 1/3 (33%) of the deaths caused by Israel are children. That means that Israel is (at best) only acheiving 2/3 (66%) of its aim (and that is wildly high estimate).
I don't know about you, but when I got 66% in my classes I never considered it a "good job".
