@WelcomeWednesdayRock a mini revo will never do 130kph without serious modification. there are strict rules that cars need to meet to enter. the xo-1 is a toy compared to what is being entered here. "skill level 10"? n00b. its marketing to sell it to the idiots that beleive it. even if you did enter an xo-1, you wouldnt even be doing half the speed of others in the same category. it will not do 160kph out of the box: it requires optional gearing, ridiculous batteries and an iphone/ipod touch.

@fathead431 i have seriously modified my e-revo it has a mamba moster engine in it i did it with custom plating it has a 11.1 volt LiPo battery i have a carbonfiber chassy with super stong plastic arms high current cable thingys dont know much about the car but it fast and light

@WelcomeWednesdayRock if you're running a mamba monster system in your mini revo, you'd probably only be doing about 50kph and would be wasting all of that torque. running a mamba max would make more sense. the stock arms are plastic.

even then you wont get anywhere near 130kph.

they're probably just RPM arms. either way, theyre heavier than the stock ones, so if anything they'll make your car slower.

100kph isnt that fast, its easy to make pretty much anything do those sorts of speeds with $100 and the right gearing

@WelcomeWednesdayRock a monster is for e-maxx sized trucks. I had rpm arms and hubs, aluminium shocks, steel driveshafts and 2.2 tyres.

making it harder will make it skittish at high speed

the mamba max is for 1/10 stuff like rustlers, so is more suited to a large 1/16 like the mini revo

short course, truggy and e-revo are all different things. no track hosts 1/16 races or any race suited to a mini revo that i know of

also, there are different classes for records, and the class this was entered in was open wheel electric.
