I recently saw Karla and it was the only movie that has ever truly scared me...and now i feel bad, becuase of Misha telling us not to see it...I still love Misha to death, though
i grew up like an hour away from where Paul Barnardo was... he's always been like my worst fear, and when i found out Misha played him i was kind of really creeped out. still havent worked up the will to watch Karla, not just because of him but because the crimes were so close to home.'
...anyways, i can't even say how glad I am that he doesn't like it/ wouldnt do it again! Misha's such a great guy, I cant even imagine how he played a sick bastard like Barnardo.
Poor Misha trying to warn us about Karla, but no one will listen he is not wrong you know its truly a disturbing film....in my defense I watched before I ever knew how ashamed of it he was and I do regret it. I hate how people watch it and say "I will never see cas the same again" come on we all know cas would never do something so awful! Love Misha so much just watching him talk in this video brightens my day! Thx for posting! ^^
Before I watched Karla, I read some reviews that mentioned the exploitative aspects of the film. After finishing it, I can't disagree. However, I don't think Misha should be ashamed of it, as he appears to be in this video. It's not the greatest movie I've ever seen, but it was a very interesting film that succeeded in shocking me, and I came away from it having learned about something that happened in history. Also, Misha did a very good job in portraying someone who literally gave me chills.
you know, I really want to listen to him and not buy that movie... BUT... he's just too hot in it ;_; I can't miss that! even though it will probably kill me...
the second misha mentioned Karla, I went on IMDB and watched the trailer. It was interesting.... to say the least. Oh misha, this was a mistake. Misha you are no sexual abuses murderer are you?
LOL, I got A's in my Socio and Anthro final papers when I was inspired by one of my fave shows (Oz). Feeling oddly compelled to read her paper, too! :) He's so sweet, funny and cool.
This video made me laugh. I saw Karla and it's THAT bad it's only bad if you think of him as Castiel, because to be honest if you didn't know who he was most would just think it was just another movie about a serial rapist. The fact that it's a true story makes it sad, but I'm desensitized by those things so I thought it was good some parts were just funny.
Is Karla that awful in reality or is Misha just uncomfortable because it was a disturbing movie - and a disturbing role? I know it was an awful story and I understand why there was backlash... actually the only way to make a tasteless movie worse is to make it a bad movie... not that I'm going to watch it anytime soon, I'm just curious.
glad to hear he regrets making Karla. i was so upset when i found out he was in that, and the role he plays. That happened near where I live. Disgusted that they made it into a movie, and deeply saddened that he was in it, but relieved to hear he regrets it.
yea he really dont like karla in 1 con he said he was havin bad dreams(i tink they was)about it and the guy makin it was creepin him out.....but when the was done the movie the dreams went way
Karla wasn't the greatest movie ever but it wasn't crap either. Very disturbing especially with the fact that it's based on a true story. I think he did a great job in it and that not just a fan talking here.
I'm surprised he's against "Karla"; maybe it has to do with the aftermath and response from the victims' families, and so on. Also, I'd love to see that girl's paper. She actually brought up interesting topics for the panel.
He is so awesome. I always wondered what he thought of Karla. It wasnt a crappy movie, the actors were great and it was quite a story, but it was disturbing and knowing it was a true story made it kinda hard to watch (especially his character Paul, he was so deranged) I guess its good he didnt like making it, cause if he did that would be weird.

I LOVE the way he talks like, just goes off randomly then comes back or cuts off mid sentence and stops and starts.... <3 Misha

I want to read that girl's paper.
I watched the first half of Karla...and stopped. If you are considering watching Karla, don't. It really is as bad as everybody else is saying.
