I have an MPC 2000xl and i was thinking about selling it to buy an MPK. What do you think is better? What would you reccommend? Why would you reccommend that product?
Nice track man. First time I've EVER seen someone still using the VS-880EX. I just got a JV-1080 and still have and use my VS-880EX. I like the way u still get mileage out of hardware...Keep flowin....
@7thgroove Thanks. Check out the Vintage Keys expansion for the JV. Good sounds on there.... the main reason I still use it. That and the bass sounds.
@Nashid77 I've got the demos. Gonna get the cards off eBay in a few weeks. Though I use Logic, I still like the great patches that Roland makes, still like using hardware.
@jackmylantern Good lookin out. I don't like makin keyboard beats either. I feel you on that. Check out my other vids. Straight chops/samples and live MPC.
@acetatostereo 61 semi-weighted mid-sized keys. I should've gotten the 88. Those keys feel great. These feel kinda stiff and springy at times... if you know what I mean.
The spring fights your fingers down and up as well. But worse, the keys are about an inch shorter than they should be - so hitting a black key requires a lot of force if you're towards the back of the key (AMAZON.COM)
@MashMasterMushroom Thanks..... the pads feel different on the MPK and are a different size and shape. I've been using the MPC for 12 years so its pretty much just a matter of comfort and convenience.
Yeah, this sounds more like that newer west coast style. I know you usually sample but you should get more into producing from scratch because you're good at it!
nice chords

@Nashid77 I really got it to use the Orchestral I and II cards. I use Logic Pro and definitely have enough vintage keys. Good lookin' out though...

@7thgroove How do you like those? The only other card I've used is the Dance card and its garbage. Made me not wanna get more.

Hot shit .... Do you have the mpc hook up to your MPK
MRCHEAPSKATE62 1 year ago
@MRCHEAPSKATE62 Yup. Side Note: The MPK gotta be plugged into a wall socket to use it with the MP. USB power won't do the job.

FiSTFigHT09 1 year ago
@FiSTFigHT09 I used a Roland XV 5050 for all the synth/instrument sounds and a combination of Akai samplers for the drums.
Nashid77 1 year ago
@FiSTFigHT09 I used the JV 1080 from Roland also.... the piano/strings patch.
