@DrainingAway I have no idea how you gathered that from what I said. I don't know exactly how the statement "He (Gara) was a roadie for Diru back in the day" translates to not knowing if they met. I suppose if you are that skeptical I would recommend looking it up. /shrug

@DrainingAway Actually Gara was a roadie for Diru back in the day and is a close friend of his. So it's more along the lines of it's probably true that he tutored him on singing. Just saying.

Not bad. Not bad at all. I was a little worried that they would do my favorite band injustice, because I heard that they were a J-pop band, but this was extremely well constructed. Kinda funny seeing DEG being as influential as bands like X-Japan though.

The did a very original cover, they added Merry's style to the original. The vocals are part of that originality. I very much like this, It's a great tribute to Diru.

Really not bad, they made it their own. It sounds more contemporary toward the present Dir en grey, however, it's a perfect example of how Kyo's vocals defined dir en grey back in the late 90's, from any other visual kei band and future visual kei bands to come that drew inspiration from Diru. Anyway, this cover is faithful to the original.. However slightly different. So not bad, I'm not a fan of Merry, so I'm not gonna preach anything against them, so overall not bad

I like it, but the vocals are too much out there, and need delays and reverb to max the true Dir en Grey today. But I guess that's a good thing not to copy and come up with an original sounding cover.
