I can see why they stopped showing this angle. When viewing the kitchen from this angle it would mean that the apartment has an impossible layout. The hallway is supposed to go back towards the right outside Jerry's apt door. This angle ruins that illusion and it reminds you that it's just a set. The later episodes stopped showing the kitchen from that angle.
