One of the best bands!! - what a talent! Two thirds of Cream and one of the best saxophonists ever, and of course the late great Graham Bond - gone but not forgotten!
This was one of the Graham Bond Albums produced by San Francisco DJ Abe "Voco" Kesh (Blue Cheer, Harvey Mandel's Cristo Redentor [Wade in the Water], Chuck Berry Live at the Filllmore, etc.). From what I have been told, "Voco's" radio programs (first on KMPX and later KSAN) consisted primarily of classic blues, but toward midnight he would do a "Lights Out" segment of an hour or more of uninterrupted music. This was not your usual "psychedelic" rock," but progressvive instrumentals.
The great musician and innovator. An orpahn in childhood he ended his life believing he was one of Crowley's illigetimate children. The first to use the Mellotron live. Everybody took notice. One can only think regret of what he would be up to today...along with Brian and Jimi and Jim..........God Keep Graham Bond....93
Am I the only one who gets what this song is about? We are all stars, Love is the Law etc.. etc.., isn't it obvious where this guy is coming from? lol People are sooo stupid, that's why the world is in such a mess. Stupid people!!!
@memoriesofhpl I know bro, and he is not the only artist into the occult, it seems many artist are occultists these days, its like a trend or something. Or it could all be for culture creation reasons, they could be trying to mold a new way of thinking for the masses to enter there long awaited new secular world or new age or what ever they want to call it. Alan moore is a perfect modern day example of what I mean, watch the watchmen if you get a chance.
@KilluminatiMujahad Am I right in assuming that ur a conspiracy theorist? Oh, and a better example of the occult in Moore's (yes he is a self-confessed and unashamed occultist) is in the exquisite grahpic novel 'From Hell,' the whole plot of which is based around a Masonic conspiracy, though Moore has said that it is complete fiction and that he doesn not believe a word of the conspiract theories anyway.
@memoriesofhpl Read articles and essays by the theosophic society, Ahmadiyya or Bahais community, or any other new age cult, these are not theories, they openly tell those who seek what they are about if only people knew the correct places to look, it sure isn't a theory but it most certainly is a conspiracy by secular intellectuals who look down on ignorant common people who use religion as a means to fit in rather then a powerful tool to perfect oneself. you cant really blame em though
@memoriesofhpl I am a student of comparative religion as well as occult philosophies, the fact that I may know something most don't doesn't make me a conspiracy theorist because I don't theorize anything, everything I say can be verified through accepted mainstream media and academic sources. If you have common sense and use only an objective mind with no emotional baggage any can connect the dots with ease, no need to turn to so called scholars for answers. Moore is playing his part bro.

@KilluminatiMujahad
He;s quoting the occultist Aleister Crowley. Bond believed that he was Crowleys bastard son. The full quote from Crowley's Book of the Law is:
'Do what thou wilt Shall be the Whole of the Law
Love is the Law, Love Under will
There is no Law beyond Do what thou Wilt.'
The 'every man and every woman is a star' is also a quotation from the Book.
Bond became obssesed with the occul in his later life and practicisng magick (sic).

One of the songs on the first album to use a Mellotron. This predates the Beatles and the Moody Blues.

Unfortunatelly had a very sad end!
In early 60's won the title of the best new saxophonist of the year(i think)
Great artist! I have all his LPs original...
