  • The other organization is called skoob6969 and everyone who agrees with you so much they will support your cause. If you help people you want to help and don't commit voter fraud and instigate fraud on the federal tax system, you should be afforded all the benefits of a 501C-3 entitlement as a non-profit organization. I'm begging you, get educated please!

  • @4U2UthuUstory

Hello, I'm going to look into that entitlement but please answer this. Acorn has never been charged with any illigal activity so why are you and others still using that same old drag about they're fraudulent or committing voter fraud. I registered voters and I'm honest.

Also me by myself can't even put a dent in the work that acorn has done for our community. Why is it so difficult to just help people?

  • BOO!

  • ACORN is supposed to be a Civil Rights organization.

They have absolutely no leg to stand on. They are corrupt to the bone.

When you take a random sampling of anything and consistently get the same result then it must be true throughout the remainder.

It should be shutdown and replaced by a well regulated alternative. I must emphasize well regulated. I want to see the default rate on ACORN advocated loans. If higher than the community in general then prison time is warranted.

  • No Acorn is a low income community organizer. You have said your opinion but I asked for an answer to who is going to step up and be that advocate for low income families.

Stop hating and become part of the solution.

  • The science of statistical analysis, scientific method and every quality control system in the world prove that if you take random samples of any system and get the same result in them all then the entire audited body will exhibit the the same deficiency.

In regard to your question I answered it. Replace it with a well regulated alternative.

Prosecution of criminals is not hate. It's called the rule of law. It protects society. Apparently you think breaking the law is good.

  • Hating as in talking about the problem instead of coming to a solution. People always want to cry about the problem but never get involved with a solution.

I ask what organization. The answer you gave is another one. That my friend in not an answer.

  • Low-income families are better off without ACORN. ACORN does NOT help them. ACORN assisted low-income families in getting "liar loans" for houses that they could not afford and could not keep up with the payments on. In one of the videos, an ACORN worker is caught saying, "Honesty doesn't get you the house."

ACORN will take you out of your affordable apartment, get you into a house that you can't afford, and then you will be homeless when you can't make the payments after a year or two.

  • Once again if you listen to the video. I said who is going to replace them. No matter what you say there is no doubt that Acorn has help many low income families not get into homes but get out of foreclosure and in to the voting system. Now if they are not here to help then we are all worse off.

  • skoob6969: You do not need ACORN or a different organization similar to ACORN to help you do those things. Those are things that ANYONE can do on their own. You're giving ACORN way too much credit.

ACORN did far more harm than good. ACORN is one of the reasons why we are having a mortgage crisis, and it's costing all of us taxpayers BILLIONS!

  • Are you kidding me? Acorn is the largest organizer of low income families. FACT!!!!

If they are not around all of these right wing extremest will not even think about what the low income community needs. This although not a fact is what will happen. It is very concerning to me that people are so anti helping. Why is it a bad thing to help those in need.

It is definatly a christian thing to help others, although I'm not a christian I do believe in helping those in need.

  • skoob6969: Every single city that has an ACORN also has many helpful churches. They will happily help people in need (even if the people in need aren't religious), and the churches don't operate on our tax dollars.

DEMOCRATS in the Senate and House voted OVERWHELMINGLY to de-fund ACORN, so don't blame the de-funding on some right-wing extremist.

EXACTLY what type of help do you think won't be provided if an ACORN office goes away? Be specific and name a city.

  • Oh boy did you bring up a topic. Where are the christians in this country? All of the inequality in the school system, these big corporations taking advantage of the citizens.

I must say the proof is not there for me to be satisfied with the churches helping. My father runs the food back for his chruch and they are running at an all time low because of the overwhelming number of people seeking help. I have often wondered where the influence of the church is with regard to univercal health.
