I really wish Nintendo would re-re-re-re-release this one as a complete game. I was never around for this awesome classic, however I remember playing DK64 on the N64 and getting to a part where this was included in the game!

At that point I wasn't very good, so I never got to advance all the way to the end.

But seriously, considering all that's out there as of now, why not include the lost level, and the missing intro where DK climbs up the girders, stomps on them all, and the How High screens?

Fun fact: Donkey Kong was made to be a parody of the Popeye comic strip, with the gorilla/carpenter(which was what jumpman was supposed to be)/girlfriend love triangle. Creator Miyamoto thought that 'donkey' meant 'stupid' in english, so Donkey Kong was meant to mean "stupid ape." despite being laughed at for this name, it stuck, and the rest as they say is history.
