i was talking to my grandpa about Tom Waits and he told me he met Waits back in the late 70s in a back alley in Downtown Los Angeles, drinking wine with alot of black blues artists, and he said Waits was always imitating their voices and ramblings

To be honest, Tom Wait's career started out as a songwriter for others. But he found his own groove in the "spoken word/50's Beat Poet" style. And, in all of his songs that sound so chaotic, remember that he wrote and scored every diametrically opposed harmony. Total genius......all done with minimal instrumentation. Once again ~ Total Genius!

And the 'Elephant Beer' is for real as well, it's a Danish heavyweight beer; containing about 11% alcohol, am I right (adressing Danish TW-fans here)?
