the only thing i pick out between the i phone and lg arena is that lg arena has 5 mp camera and the i phone has 2 other than that id buy i phone if lg arena didnt have good camera

i tried this phone at the local carphone warehouse, and the apps were slow, the graphics were second rate and the new ideas are just other ideas from different medias. and its the same price as an iphone in the UK, just teh contract for an iphone is longer.

I did too and i disagree with you i found it a nice phone, yoeah the iphone is faster but other than that its just as good in my books n for music and video its great, as for the resolution, its outstanding, i have an iphone and still think for a first attempt the Arena is way up there...

im glad they included some totally original features, such as the side tilt menu feature, grid of icons, 4 icons in the dock, apps and widgets, original style that hasn't yet been done before and many more. but didnt the mac iPhone do this 2 years ago? and isn't it actually IDENTICAL?

lol its not an iphone wannabe, the only thing it has in common with the iphone is that its got a fun UI... i have the i.p.t and love it but as for the phone features on the i.p they suck big time, gps is slow, no HDFS, Bluetooth is LMAO. no MMS.. ???? thought about it yet??? i could go on...

Are you kidding me? The Iphone isnt that special compared to its competitors. And its fricking expensive.

Hell, Apple had a slight edge over the competitors when they first released the Iphone. But that edge is long gone.

That is rediculous. First off all it is not expensive at all 700$ without a plan is reasonable considering all that i can do. If it really isnt all that why have its competitors started compying it... ex. the LG KM900 the interface is basically the same.

Only difference is that apples looks better and is much more refined.

Read what I said again. When the Iphone was initially released, it had an edge over the competition. But considering companies try to learn from other companies' ideas it soon lost that edge. Since companies took stuff from the Iphone and other phones (just like Apple did when they were making the Iphone) and then turned it into something better.

Also it is expensive. I'd have to pay 650 euros for the 8gb Iphone. Compared to the 400 euros the Arena would cost, it really is a lot.

Ok sure. But you can't name another phone which has superior web browsing to the iphone, and whole point of a full touch screen phone is two have that. And quite frankly i don't think any phone has better web browsing then the iphone. The iphone is simply terrific because it excels at what it is meant to excel at

A lot of phones excel at what they are meant to excel at. The LG renoir excels at being a cameraphone for example. But thats just one feature, and one feature doesnt make an entire phone.

I cant really talk about the Iphone's browsing capabilities, since I only tried them out for a short while (although I did use the Ipod Touch's plenty), but even assuming it is an awesome web browser. It still is just one feature. A phone of that price should excel at all its features, not just one.
