Most subtle chorus be good to help get a johnny marr sound when used with a decent compressor. just too expensive anybody know any subtle chorus pedal thats cheaper in price.
@TheDobbo1991 Boss CE-2B. Usually clocks in at £50 and under, warmer than the CE-2, and totally fabulous. Small Clone is cheap (mine was £25 second-hand) and the Hardwire chorus does a very good Jazz Chorus sound. Mine cost £45. Buy the Hardwire and get the Diamond compressor and you'll have two pedals perfect for the classic Marr sound.
It's certainly more of a "subtle", CE-1 style chorus than most of its contemporaries, but I can understand how that might seem weak to a lot of users. Pedals of this vein aren't heavy on the detuning effect. I actually prefer it this way, but to each their own.
It's not really a chorus sound unless you turn the ph mix right down. When he does that it doesn't sound like anything special to me. Typical seasick vibrato heavy chorus. I don't like it. I like the shimmery Maxon CS-9Pro I have a lot better than this. If I wanted a warm thick sound I'd go the Voodoo Lab. To me this sounds like another Small Clone derivative. I do have a Diamond J-Drive Mk III and I like it over my Fulldrive 2. Now that was a tough call because these are both great.
I am a big effectrode fan,I have the tube Vibe, and a friend has the Effectode chorus. The effectrode is good but no where near a versatile as the Diamond. And is also 150 dallors more. But I am exited that effectrode has 2 new pedals coming, the (tube drive) O/D/,and a tube (compressor)looking foward to hearing those. But my tube Vibe is one of my nicest pedals. But Diamond pedals rock and I have more than one in my chain.
A friend brought one by the house, and wow, super nice man.Wouldnt say its better because it would depend on what you were using it for,but no doubt a fantastic pedal.
how would you set it up to sound like a ce-1?

you should show chorus pedals both clean and with overdrive because I am always looking for one that can do both

So is the phase switch button for when you run into phase problems with stereo rigs? Is it intended to solve that?

tons of cool features....but the actual effect sound seems too subtle (imho).

Nice idea - like the more subtle settings - Diamond Pedals are very well made and thought out.

I like subtle chorus......too much speed and what not turns the effect into complete junk in my opinion.

Maxon chorus pedals are cheesier than this.

This thing sounds great, I love subtle chorus, otherwise it sounds cheesy and colours your tone wayyy too much

buy a effectrode, way way way better than this pedal, even though this pedal is fantastic, effectrodes one is so much better still.

I'm Trying to decide on either the Diamond or the DLS! It's a hard choice! The diamond just sounds so organic but the DLS Has 2 channels!

Great demo. I have this pedal, and it is outstanding. A very versatile chorus pedal (Canadian made too).
