It's great that he's just shaking it off and going back to racing. That's true courage. Most people would say "fuck that, you learned your lesson now get out while you can" but those are pussies, running home at the first sign of trouble. What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger. What would happen if we all decided never to do anything if at some point we failed at it? Obviously, this is not like riding a bicycle, but the principle is same. Bicycle can seem pretty scary when you're 6 year old.

None of this moaning about metatarsals and taking 3 months off from the 'dangers[ of kicking a football around. It funny watching his onboard laps 'this is a mans corner for men' - the whole thing is for balls out nutters. Not only did he bounce off two walls he also caught fire due to fuel spillage but didn't notice until someone explained to him why his eyebrows were singed - Massive respect!
Totally and utterly mental, that sums him up, he said on live radio right before the race as he'd had a bad week, he was pulling out all the stops in that race, we all thought something was going to happen... glad he's ok though, and proven to be one of the most prolific 'characters' of the event in recent times. good on him.

I have seen those pictures and when he said it was a bit of a fireball don't believe a word of it. If he hadn't "got off" when he did he would have been dead make no mistake. Lucky boy.
@dukestt Saw the pictures in the paper too but they don't capture the sights, sounds and smells you get when you're on scene. It made the starting sequence from Charlie's Angels look tame! I can still see Guy pushing the bike away and smell his eyebrows singeing where his visor had come off. He definitely had his guardian angel with him that day. Ace bloke, my hero! Got money on him for 2011 :)
