Im running the mini Kaoss pad through the master output on my mixer and I have the same problem, where the volume decreases about half. I have read that it is better to put it through the fx send/return but my mixer is fairly basic and doesnt have that?! Basically stuck and not sure whether to sell it?!! Any info would be sound!!
Bigups for this vid. Just picked up my KPmini and found the same problem with the volume output (especially using the headphone jack)
To fix it I just changed the line in volume to a similar volume as the Korg was outputting; so when using loopers (effects in 80's) the source wouldn't drown out the loop. Just in case you didn't want to bring your clock radio to the park with you to chill and play with this thing..
Korg need to make a kaoss pad big enoug for your feet. So you can be playing guitar or keys or whatever with both hands and manipulate the kaoss with a foot, that would be good.
I have a treble knob on the guitar you can pull up , when you do so ,it switches on all the batteries ,Kp 4 penlights and 9 volt blok of the velleman preamp. This turns the Kp on and directs the guitar sound true the Kp to the jack output. When switches off it bypasses the Kp, and all batteries are off. normal mode.
Kp hooked like this for like almost 9 months , i must say its some time difficult to control, and it has only A and B button to store a preselected effect. But its still Cool
@flux302 the kp2 signal and the mini kaos pad are two different things from 2 different machines. kp2 has a higher line level output . have yuou tried the mini kaos not kp2 with your mixer? if you have and get a different affect than i did please let me know... again the mini kaoss pad not the kp2 which have 2 different outputs
Hey bro can u help me think n bout purchasing one im a scratch dj i wanna get some delays into my mix i have the maudio torq but it has delays but wen i turn the fader off the sound turns off with korg help me out with tryn to boost up the sound hit me back
PS I would use an right angle cable if using a headphone jack.. they are not reinforced (thru-hole mounted) and can snap inside with a heavy duty instrument cable bearing down weight on it as it's just surface mounted.
Why can't you just use the headphone output? (don't have one yet, but..) generally (always) the headphone output can be many times louder than line level outputs. (although, you may get some noise.) There are also a lot of audiophile headphone amps that are tiny and can boost the signal.
i could be wrong but just throwin my input in....what about just picking up a preamp? they make portable ones that u can take out wit u and prolly works better then that clockradio....props on that clockradio btw my dude
what i did is boosting guitar pickups with a small preamp, bought at a electronic store.( 8 euro's or something). it works on a 9 volt blok ,output is adjustable .Now guitar sounds as loud with miniKP swished on .
I bought the Korg key pad. I se it to scroll the tracks, load the tracks, assign que points, activate que points, and use loops. It has 25 midi assignable keys.
Korg are jerks the way they have such lousy volume output on this device.

When you get this low output during effects, are the synth sounds (90-100) still really loud?

have the same problem on the guitar .
Effects sound great, but my guitar sounds bad.
Need a booster are something to kick up the pickups. Maybe even a true bypass or something.
