I think the bridge collapsed and the train was distroyed. They just showed the broken bridge. I think they all knew that it would not hold up. Didn't u see how they were using a blow torch to fuse the train doors. They were never going to any hospital.
Incidentally, I have been in Poland this past week for New Year, and did visit Auschwitz, so this scene has some resonance.

This scene gets to know the fearfulness of military affairs.
This is the same as a threat.It is the same as confinement.
