Good review, but the details are Dutch, not German. Van Tassel is Dutch, as is the windmill and the house also known as a 'grachtenpand'. The Dutch settled there during colonizing.
i like the tim burton one, but ive seen it like 7 times and it is still hard to follow the plot i think. the disney one is simple and scared the shit out of me as a kid.
Nice review =) The Disney Sleepy Hollow terrified me when I was a kid. Now it's one of Disney's darkest and best animated features. Tim Burton's take on it was great too. I watch both of them every October (and coincidentally, I recently did a trailer mash-up between the two if you want to check it out)
I friggin' LOVE the Headless Horseman segment from the Disney version. It was pretty epic and scary for a cartoon from the late 40s. True it had some humorous moments, but it was still awesome. And the laugh, better than the Joker's laugh in my opinion. Burton's version was good too. Different than what I thought it would be, but still good nonetheless. Plus, Walken only did the Hessian bits, with the head on. There were stuntment who played the Headless Horseman throughout the movie.
Burton fails again on a remake, the original is a classic that doesn't need Tim Burton and Johnny Depp to ruin that too

@F1315NJ That stuntman was Ray "Darth Maul" Park.
