  • thats what happens when youre running like 15 lbs of boost. some people just dont get that forced induction = power

  • That is not a 335, it's a damn time machine!

  • you just gave the needle in your tachometer major whiplash

  • thats car is outrageous in 1st :)

  • this is bs.. u prob have an c.a. intak, exhaust, and a non stock intercooler added also,,, that is if this think isn't TT or supercharged etc... i've looked at ur other vids and i have driven this car,, you are not including all mods this car is too fast for 95 octane a tuner and tires....BS

  • coupe/sedan?

  • wooooooow

  • I checked the dragtimes for tire info and i'm curious what your opinion both Nitto 555R and Hoosier slicks. What type of Hoosier slicks did you use? The 1,7 and 1,8 60 feet is very good i think!

  • Timed professionally - 4.2 seconds.

  • Awesome car dude.. Love that winding sound when it changes gears. I'm guessing that's the turbos? I've drove a car like yours and a 135i and they made the same noise.

  • 4.2

  • lost all your change at the begining

  • damn thats fast

  • I timed it with my stop watch, seems to be a legit 3.8 to me. I have a 33i sedan, 2009 all stock. Best i can get is 4.8

  • What's the beep at 120 mph?

  • Question hotrod, the 335i is def gonna be my next car but I just dont see myself modding a Beemer! How reliable it the JB3 program. Does it run rough at all?

  • DAMB this bitch is FAST..

  • Try going to a real 1/4 mile.

  • @peteypab2133

Guess you didn't read. This car already has run in the 11's at the drag strip. My other 335i just ran 11.33 at over 132mph at the drag strip last month. Look at dragtimes if you want to see the timeslips.

  • @hotrod182

Your other 335i? How the hell can you afford this shit? I envy you! 335i with JB3 is my dream haha.

  • @peteypab2133, lol dumbo

  • Somethings fishy here dude. How can a sedan be faster than a coupe? Secondly, automobile magazines quote the 335i's 0-60 time to be in the mid 4 sec range.

  • @rforracing The car has a tune that gives it another 100 HP over stock. He has other mods too. This is a 400+ HP 335i, stock 335i's are 300 HP.

  • umm

    holy shit

  • SICK FAST!!!!

    What is JB3??

  • You know those dash hawks and g-meters are not accurate I hope? Go to a real track and test your self and your dash computer......

  • I have a couple hundred 335i drag strip time slips between my coupe and sedan. Well, just look at dragtimes, com and you will see hotrod182 with 11.7-11.9 ETs. You can see the time slips on there. My highest trap speeds were over 124mph.

  • Vbox is the benchmarking standard and uses a high speed GPS, not a yaw sensor. Its what car and driver uses. Quit being Ignorant.

  • Looks based on the timer on the video that it took more llike 4.3 to 4.5 sec.... you did not start to roll till about half a sec after video started and 0-60 shows 5 sec flat......

  • My best time is 3.7 seconds. Don't worry about the timer, it has a delayed start, but still calculates the same way the magazines test, etc.

  • well my friend both are great cars

it just depends what you're looking for

of course the coupe will be lighter so it must be faster too but it isn't too much of a difference between them , and if you have a family you should go for the sedan.

  • F.... that's fast!!! M3 E92 DKG has no chance!!!

  • I have a 6-spd.... I think in order to get best times you have to be a pro at switching, otherwise the steptronic will switch quicker. Technically, a good racer should be able to beat steptronic though

  • No, steptronic will always be faster. The gearing ratios are better in the auto, plus it can hold boost off the line for better launchings. It also holds boost between shifts, a manual looses boost during shifts no matter how fast you shift. In other cars manuals might be faster because they typically have better gearing, + less drivetrain loss, not with the 335i. The 335i steptronic full locks up the torque converter after 2nd gear so you're getting full power to the ground.

  • Yea, well the 6-spd is still funner to drive =P

  • If you two-step and keep your foot to the floor between shifts in a manual you don't lose boost... A well driven stick can match a DSG auto any day.

  • The manual 6-spd is faster than the automatics, with a decent driver.... always..... the stick is lighter too.....

Also... the 335xi is good for 0-60 launches but is too heavy and slows down dramatically above 90 mph.....

  • The automatic doesn't lose the boost between the shifts. And have you ever looked at the acceleratioin graph of the 6speed steptronic? Pretty flat, smooth shift intervals. Also, check out my 9.32second 60-130 times on 6speedonline. Quicker than a GTR, Gallardo, Cobra, etc.

  • 08turboSS: do your research before you post. the 135i/335i is faster in 6AT. Better gearing, holds boost through shifts, no user error. No 6MT with hotrod's mods will come close to those times.

  • @hotrod182 Not a chance you'll beat the GT-R or Gallardo unless the Lambo is the 2003 model with near 470 hp They run 0-60 in 4.2 sec and the 1/4 in 12.5 at 117 mph.... These two cars will rape the N54 BMW up top because the twin turbos lose alot of their punch above 5000 rpm even with a JB3

  • @08turboSS

Loose alot of their punch? These cars hit max torque at about 1.5k and stay there till over 6k, they only boost to about 5.5psi as standard so there isnt that much punch to loose lol. I had one of these and the power never really feels like it drops off. I admit that it wouldnt be able to beat a gtr or lambo up top but down a 1/4 mile i think it will stand a good chance (With the right driver at the wheel) :) My 335 only done 165mph too which is a far cry from tops of super cars :(

  • Incorrect.... and the weight difference is all of 11 or 12 lbs. Do some research.

  • @08turboSS If you are telling the truth then you have alot more than a jb3 tune and drag radials cause a 335 doesnt run anywhere near 12.1 and even less 117 mph trap speeds and will be nowhere near a gtr at any point in any race. The drag radials just helo you hook up they dont add any power so now explain how you trap 117 mph??????

  • @08turboSS hotrod is right. it doesn't lose boost and I can vouch for him. His is an 11-second car.

  • thing MOVED goddamn! Haha i keep seeing the Automatic's getting better times than the 6-speeds :D

  • 4.2

  • This car has run 11.9 at 117.5 mph at the dragstrip also.

  • Are you trusting to speedometer ?!

  • Well the calculator says 96 km/h. 60mph x 1,6 = 96

  • look at the dash, 100 kmh is for 60 mph ur calc is wrong but not by alot.

  • 100 km/h is actually 62.14 mph, so he's right its just over 96

  • HOLYSHIT I WANT!!!

  • To bad that run was way over a 1/4th mile -_- 11 seconds? Think again, It took you almost half a mile to hit 120, Look at his odometer

  • 245.4 - 245.1= .3mile. But you don't see it turn from 245.0 to 245.1 right at the starting line anyways, it was quite a bit before. And besides, .3miles is much closer to .250 (1/4 mile) than it is to a half mile, isn't it? Are we looking at the same trip odometer?

  • True, Thumbs up and sorry about that

  • 60 mph is 95 km/h

  • correction 95 kmh is 55 mph, 100 kmh is 60 mph

  • Whoa this was with an automatic in sport mode? That's pretty damn impressive.

  • BTW what map did you have the JB3 on?

  • ok for all you idiots above that think the turbos are going to go out. Please explain why you think that? Do you understand how turbos work? Ever worked with a 2JZGTE? Inline 6 installed in 93-98 Supras? Lots of mods and it ran all day long and took all kinds of boost and abuse!

Glass half full of half empty? Most people that are installing JB3 or an other ECU mod don't give a rip about the warranty.

  • Is it an automatic that you are running? what kind of tunning did you do to it?

  • Does JB3 mean stage 3 juice box? I'm assuming it does, can anyone clarify?

  • JB3= juice box stage 3. you are correct.

  • Pretty damn quick, and no it wasn't downhill you can tell if you actually watched the damn video. This car can take a lot of abuse, its not american garbage so no the turbos and motor won't give in just like that for a long while.

  • i imagine they will. BMW didnt design it to be a 12 second car. I'd be weary enough just buying a bmw in stock trim without having a warranty to fall back on. Who knows how long this car will last.

But, still a sick car nonetheless! I love the 335

  • that was 4 seconds not 3.8

  • lol calm your beard dude you sound like an asshole.

"I CALL BULLSHIT HE DIDN'T WALK 3 MILES HE WALKED 2.9999999999999999999999991"

    point is it's damn close.

  • Where u driving downhill :)

  • i bow down to u sir.

  • Just keep on doing that. then lets see if your turbos and motor goes out!

  • I agree this can't be good.

  • Wow.... that's pretty fricken quick.

  • OMG!!!!
