I read all of the twilight books before they became popular, and I will admit, if you go into them with an open mind, they are quite good. I thoroughly enjoyed the series, but I wasn't CRAZY about it. It was only when the books became popular that all of those brainless maniacs, most of which never actually read the books, started showing up. Stephanie Meyers murdered the classic imagery of a vampire. Since when do vampire's fucking SPARKLE!!!!??? To tell the truth, I was hoping on the MTV Movie Awards that The Dark Knight was gonna take a lot. But those stupid little pre-teen girls chose Twilight and Fag Efron for the awards.
